As I slowly get comfortable with the hybrid workplace, I am also enjoying finding new places to enjoy. La Casa Del Gusto - didn’t disappoint. I was tempted by the Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich, but was also considering a burger. The Gusto Burger won out and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The combination of BBQ sauce, goat cheese, bacon and tortilla chips was simply wonderful. The fries were a suitable and equally enjoyable side. Service was friendly and engaging and more than willing to help one make a decision. The menu see the photos below is extensive, which means more opportunities to try the smoked meat, wraps and other options. I’ll be back.
Great space and atmosphere. Almost a combo between a sports bar and diner. However food was abysmal. Ordered Nachos which came with very little cheese and small pieces of onion, pepper and tiny mushroom. The club sandwich was decent. Caesar salad had no romaine consisted solely of spinach and leafy veg. Extremely small portion size. Poutine was good again very little cheese curds. Wouldn't visit again.
There was no heat! "Our heating has been on the fritz lately ". I mean it's just the end of November in Eastern Canada... burger was tasty but not more than that. For the price it is good methinks. The one lady was serving everybody promptly but that's it, she was a one woman show and that's not fair on her.Food: 3/5
I have been here a number of times and LOVE their breakfasts, dinner menu choices, meal portions, atmosphere and service. My family came out one evening and with three picky eaters everyone found delicious items to sample. Our daughter says the fish and chips is amazing. I loved the liver. The smoked meat is some of the best in town. Tonight my partner and I opted for that we have had it more than a few times! and It was as generous a serving as always and yummy! And the cheesecake!! Tried it tonight. It is to die for! Light, creamy and deadly good!
Enjoyed their pasta-chicken Alfredo fettuccini. Very delicious! Smoked meat sandwich was good too.
This restaurant was once Dunn’s. So when we walked in, I knew what to expect with the layout of the place. While in the restaurant, it says seat yourself. We sat in a booth close to the doorway. I decided to order the Smoked Meat Club that came with fries and a soft drink. The prices and portions were a great value. The food tasted delicious. I would return. It’s located in a busy area of Merivale Rd.
The breakfast was perfect, I ordered steak and eggs and they provide Halal options which was awesome. Thank you Sam and great folks for your great services. Highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing!!! The staff and the food are top notch. Cozy and classy aesthetic. Very good prices. And seriously one of the best burgers I've ever tasted. Definitely recommend!!!
The Place looked inviting so stoped in with my mom to have their special Hot turkey sandwich… when we received our meal the turkey had mushrooms and was charbroiled and had different taste to which we could not eat and returned it, the waitress was so nice came back and asked if we wanted something in it’s place so we had a caesar salads. To our surprise when we receive the bill the waitress apologized in advance saying the owner will still be charge us for the returned food bill came to 78.54 When we asked to speak to the owner they told the waitress they had gone home! We indicated we will only pay for what we ate and not returned food….we threatened to call the Police to settle this matter and then a new bill arrived of 45.34 We paid it …upon leaving the owner sudden,y appeared and said he was the manager Terrible service on owners part great service from the poor waitress Customers be wary!,
Get the breakfast or Smoked Meat Combo! Great food and great service! Took my whole family out for the Christmas brunch. Will come back again.
