Absolutely the most horrible clinic. When you call to make an appointment, it says there is 1 person waiting and you are number 1. Then you are on hold for 20 minutes when someone answers specially the man who answers will pretend he cannot hear you and hang up right away, When you call back its the same thing. Heaven forbid you call before 4:10 when they hang up on you and call you again it will say the office is now close even if it is 4:41 on the clock!! You get to be examined by students and in which you can see they go to google to see the symptoms you are having. I can diagnose myself if I want to check my symptoms if the "doctors" are googling what you are describing!!!! The worst in the city.
Called this clinic in December 2022 for a family doctor, the lady on the phone was friendly, told me to call back after new year, so I made another call in January. The guy who picked up the phone said there was only one male doctor available, if you wanted a female doctor you had to talk to my supervisor, he transferred me and supervisor who didn't answer, I left a voicemail. Because I needed a family doctor ASAP to run some tests, so after couple of hours I made another call, the same guy answered, I explained my situation and asked if I could get that male doctor, he started to get really impatient, said they didn't have any doctor available. I reminded him the call we just had, he started to make a sigh loudly and murmured oh my God. He said the doctor will only be able to see me on February 13, it is a Monday, which would be busy for my work, so I asked if there's any other options I can have. He interrupted with a NO, without any courtesy to even check the calendar, he put me to his supervisor again and I left another VM. One week passed, guess who didn't get any call and not surprised. And dude, if you don't like your job, just quit. You can't do it properly anyway.
This is the absolute worst doctors office I’ve ever experienced. They always mess up appointments. Donovan is rude and tries to make you feel stupid when he speaks to you. I was told my baby was a patient there by my doctor ritika goel and now that she is on matte leave I am not allowed to bring my 15 month old daughter in till she’s back from matte leave. They won’t even let me see her replacement meanwhile I am a patient there and gave birth through their hospital. I saw the doctors there my entire pregnancy, had all my ultrasounds there etc. Now I’m not allowed to bring my daughter in. They ALWAYS screw up appointments. During Covid even while I was pregnant, the woman at the front desk was not checking for people wearing masks or giving out new ones, she was rarely in the booth. The waiting rooms were completely full and over crowded in the X-ray and ultrasound rooms. This place is so unprofessional and does not follow Covid guidelines. They also never return messages or they forget to send the doctors messages. They’re entire front desk team needs to be retrained.
Except for the social worker I am very satisfied with all the services provided. I have received all the attention required with respect and professionalism especially by my Family Doctor. I suffer from general anxiety and depression and suspect I am on the autism spectrum. For me it's not always easy to explain what's going on in my mind and how I am feeling and why I am feeling this or that way. I saw the social worker back in 2019 and felt uncomfortable from the beginning. Her attitude felt a bit hostile but I gave her a chance. The first session she made me do this tapping thing. I've read about that years before and found that it doesn't work for me; however, I didn't say anything and left her office feeling conflicted. I completed my six sessions because I needed to talk to someone but no tapping. I was referred to her again. I was a bit sceptical but I decided again to give her a chance and because my appointment with the psychiatrist is in August and I thought it would help to talk about my issues to someone else. My appointment was for Wednesday on the phone. She called on time but apparently there were problems with the phone what I felt somehow it was my fault no problem with all my other doctors appointments before. Anyway, she gave me an appointment for next day, yesterday afternoon. From the beginning I felt uncomfortable and I left feeling even worse. Her attitude is always hostile and arrogant and her body language is screaming at me that she just doesn't give a darn about my problems. She makes zero effort to try to follow my way of thinking and to try to understand the way I am feeling. So I wonder how someone like that can be of any use to someone who is dealing with mental illness. If I was feeling anxious when I went to see her I was on edge when I left. I told her I didn't want to talk to her ever again. I feel defeated and hurt when I was supposed to get the care I needed to feel better.
REALLY long wait times, almost impossible to get through to even make an appointment just to get a call a week later to say it's cancelled! Front-desk staff is rude and borderline arrogant
I had problem on my left hand. Dr.Graham Gaylord referred me to make an ultrasound in Sumac Creek Lab.I came there and wait 25 min. Then I received an answer that my procedures couldn't be made and was transferred to the next week. Next week I came again, wait in the almost empty no patientswaiting hall for 30 min.Then... receptionist called my name and said that my procedure was cancelled without any reason. I must to come again after 1 week. No any explanations made. Why it's happened to me? Please, find out the reason.I wish to know the name of tge person who refuse to make an ultrasound procedures. Thank you! Truly, Julia
I’ve been a patient since they’ve opened. My MD and all of the MDs I’ve met here are great, so are the nurses and NP. However there’s room for improvement for telephone reception. They need more training on recognizing when a patient should be booked to speak with an RN for triaging. I’ve been turned away a few times and have had to seek for a walk in clinic after hours/weekend. Then learned that I could have been seen by an MD if I was booked in their urgent slots. Some reception don’t even take the extra effort to inquire if your concern is urgent and only offer the next appointment, which is often a month away. I’ve also been booked incorrectly, wrong date. The email booking is the most useless, might as well not have it at all. Every time I email, I end up having to call. Their responses are slow, they misread my requests and the most frustrating was when they emailed me back a 1.5 weeks later with a cookie cuter message saying they had no email consent on file and therefore can’t book me in. They did have my consent, whoever replied didn’t check. Very frustrating and a barrier to healthcare.
Desk staff are unaccountable, rude and are more apt to try to pass you along then address your concern or issue. Do not call in you need to go in in person to get anywhere with these people.
I receive excellent care here. My primary physician is sometimes on leave but I trust the other doctors, who are genuinely concerned with their patients' welfare, and all of the staff are caring, friendly, and professional. It is also good to have them affiliated with St. Michael's, which I found excellent as well.
Had been looking for a new family doctor for a while and was excited to get squeezed in for a preliminary phone call with Dr. Tepper, who I was told was accepting new patients. This was scheduled for yesterday afternoon and I made sure to block the time off my busy work calendar as I didn't want to lose out on securing a new doctor having moved to the area recently. Low and behold, after 2 months of anticipating this call, I received no phone calls at time of appointment. I followed up 20-ish minutes later and was spoken to, condescendingly, by the receptionist that I need to be "patient." Honey, 20 minutes in any professional environment -- and, rightfully so, in a medical field is unacceptable. 3 hours and 30 minutes rolled by and still no phone call. I phoned in again and I was reassured by a different receptionist that this would be flagged to the doctor and that I would receive a phone call back by end of day. Unsurprisingly, no phone calls again. All that to say -- very poor experience with this clinic and would not recommend to anyone.
