Fantastic atmosphere! Awesome food, though a bit pricey. We went there on Friday night and had a good time. Customers were lining up once it was dusk. You can tell the waiters were trying to serve you as best as they could.nI really enjoyed their sashimi, so fresh! So next time when you're in the Broadway area, do check them out :
The atmosphere here was great! Staff have so much energy and it seemed like everyone was celebrating a birthday here. The food was so good, we ordered a lot for the table to share. The crab croquettes were so good, highly Recommended. The corn kakiage was pretty good. The sushi platter was fresh and the pork tomahawk was delicious.
Very very pleased with this restaurant. You can tell the employees enjoy being part of the atmosphere, they contribute to it and provide an excellent service. The food, the drinks and everything in between was beyond expectation. The watermelon mango mojito was excellent, the karaage was super juicy and the main dish was wonderful. I would recommend to all.
Did we order lots of food? Yes we did because they are one of the best restaurants in town.nWe ordered Sashimi platter, back ribs, Eel don, noodle salad, crab croquette, tuna tataki, pork jowl and 1 sushi I believe it was toro. Yup for 2 people. The bill was only $260 including a bottle of white wine and tip as well. I think it was so reasonable.nSeafood are quite fresh but again it’s Vancouver. You wouldn’t get fresher than what it is.nThe taste is amazing. Blended between the old traditional flavour with a twist of modern creation. It’s definitely worth visiting.
Been a few years since we’ve eaten at Suika. Quality is the same, portions have decreased. Atmosphere is still fun and lively.nnShared the black garlic edamame $6.40, two kimchi tuna tartar $14.80 for 3 and corn kakiage $12.00 to start. For mains, we had salmon pressed sushi $17.40, hamachi pressed sushi $18.40, signature beef curry $15.80, gyutan bibimbap $18.80, sansho unagi bibimbap $19.80, uni and crab carbonara udon $19.00, miso carbonara udon $18.20 and dynamic pork tomahawk $25.40. Finished with the sakekasu cheese-ish cake $6.80, frozen matcha brulee $8.00 and kinako tiramisu $7.80.nnBest items were the beef tongue bibimbap rice got super crispy and black garlic edamame. Tomahawk was disappointingly fatty. Desserts were all great.
