Sugar Spoon Bake Shop

We LOVE getting treats from Sugar Spoon Bake Shop. Everything is always so delicious. We ordered our wedding cake from them in our favourite flavour, Salted Caramel. We also ordered assorted mini cupcakes which were a big hit. The service is great and the treats are always perfect!

I picked up a cake today that I had ordered for my grandmothers birthday. It is decorated very nicely and the staff was nice, however it is $35 for a VERY small cake MAYBE could feed 3 or 4. The top is decorated nicely; however, there is NO icing on the side and it is just bare cake. I've NEVER seen this done before, and it looks very messy and unfinished. I could've baked a cake like that myself at home. The icing is good; however, I would go elsewhere like Sobey's or another bakery that produces the same taste, and their cakes have full icing on the sides and are bigger for the price. Save yourself time & money!

Super kind staff and delicious baked goods. Had to get some vegan treats for my in-laws and they had some already prepared. They were all very moist and delicious. I will definitely be coming back again.

A week before the event, I ordered a platter of macarons and deluxe mini-cupcake box. Instead I got an assorted tray of desserts that I could have bought from Costco and the box of cupcakes. I expressed my displeasure that I got a mixed platter instead of a variety pack of macarons, and the response was " I assure you they are good" and "well for the next time..". Putting aside our disagreement of when the desserts were going to be picked up, after I picked them up and while the event was already occurring, they called and texted asking if I still needed the desserts and whether they will be picked up. This solidified in my mind, that our earlier disagreement was on them. And it solidified in my mind that they forgot about my order and gave me whatever they had in abundance on a platter including 3 macarons. In my one and ONLY experience with this company, they are completely disorganized. If you order anything from here - CHECK YOUR RECEIPT before you pay and ensure its accurate including what time you are coming to pick them up. Make sure you get it all in writing and bring the copy with you to the store. Better still, call them the day before and ensure you're all still on the same page otherwise you may get whatever they feel like serving you that day. I, on the other hand, will never order from this store again. There are enough local bake shops that carry the same thing and provide better customer service. I cannot speak to the quality of the product as I didn't try it myself but I can confirm that the mini cupcakes were eaten. The conglomerate of pastries were not touched and went into the garbage once the event was done. Waste of $60. Lesson Learned.

Excellent quality baked sweets. Lovely cupcakes, including the vegan ones that were so moist and well-priced.

Okay so id just like to say thank you. Today is my daughters birthday and my original cake that i booked 4 months ago cancelled this morning different ppl they cancelled at like 8 am my party is at 2. I was panicking to say the least. I did a google search and this place came up im so glad it did. Staff was so friendly and kind they allowed me to purchase two dozen cupcakes and saved my daughters party i just want to say thank you its not easy always being a mom especially for events and the fact that they were so kind and helpful. It just made me feel better so thank you

Ordered the red valvet cake for my wife 40th birthday. It was the best birthday cake she had and lots of compliments from everyone! Thanks! This would definitely be our to go bake store!

Super adorable place! Last minute had to buy some birthday cupcakes and decided to try something new instead of just buying from a big box store. It was a great decision, staff was really friendly and my only problem was that there were so many choices and everything looked amazing!! Going to have to go back and try more :

I attended Shanelles gender reveal party she left a review and the cupcakes were dry and the buttercream was gritty. I am honestly really disappointed with the bakery considering we all seen the great reviews. This not only upset the mother but everyone attended as well, since you guys made them with the wrong colour of icing but also made the cupcakes poorly and misshaped. DONT RECOMMEND.
