We recently booked a week stay here for June 2017. About three weeks prior to our arrival we stopped in to check the place out. Both my wife and I were extremely disappointed. The sites are very small and close to other trailers. Without exaggeration many trailers are within a foot of each other with the awnings and slide outs extended. Many sides didn't allow a vehicle to be parked on site because of this. Also many sites didn't allow fire rings due to the close proximity of other trailers/cabins or other buildings. Needless to say, we cancelled our reservation and took our 2018 Coachman elsewhere. I do not recommend this campground to anyone.

The sites are so small you can touch your camper and the camper on the side of you. There is no privacy and the space to try and manuver the camper to park it is terrible. This was the first place that we left the same day we got there. We went home. You have to bring your own fire pit. Not that there is room to have one unless you park your vehicle and move the picnic table on to the road that is. When we tried to leave there isnt any signs to show you which way to the exit. This was by far the worst campground that i have ever been to.

My husband and I stayed at Sturbridge RV Resort as we received 30 nights of free camping from Thousand Trails as part of the incentive package included with the purchase of our new travel trailer. Before I review this campground, let me first say that the staff were super accommodating and pleasant. This campground has some sites available for campers that are staying for a few days, however most sites seem to be residential. Many of the reviews we read commented on the tightness of the camping sites. We have a 22ft. trailer and found it difficult to find a space to park it. We were given a choice of 4 sites without sewers and only one was remotely level, so we chose it. With that said, our slide out was in peril from being clipped by any other rigs that might have passed us on the very rutted, dirt road that looped around sites A and B. The sites that larger rigs would be obliged to take had sewer hookups but they were stacked like sardines in a small, sun baked, field where the awning of one rig touches the one adjacent to it. This is not an exaggeration. I would estimate no more that 10 feet between rigs. The campground itself was in a sorry state of disrepair. It was run-down and old. "Junk" in the form of burnt-out BBQs, a rusty pick-up truck, rusty bikes, pallets, and various other forms of debris littered the area next to the dog park. The dog park itself had a pink bag of doo-doo which was left hanging over a picnic table and remained there for the duration of the time we stayed. This may be because the container that is provided to dispose of dog waste was overflowing and remained in that condition for our brief stay. Unacceptable. The pond, which is featured in the advertisements with people swimming, boating and fishing was a weed choked mess that had no real access for fishing with the exception of one dock which was directly in front of a campsite and afforded no place to park. The pond was polluted and we were warned not to swim in it. There were fish however, but I certainly would not eat anything swimming in there. In fact, I refused to kayak in the pond or go on my stand up paddle board for fear of catching some kind of parasite. The campsite boasts of mini-golf. What a joke. The "course" was untended and appeared to have been abandoned many years ago. It was covered in dirt, leaves, and what could be made of the turf was torn or altogether missing. There was no place to get balls or clubs anyway. We did not get to partake in any of the weekend's "fun" activities but we apparently just missed a bonfire the weekend prior to our stay and a resident told us not to park to close the fishing dock because there were many nails there left over from that fire and we may get a flat. As I mentioned at the start of this review, the people who worked at the camp were super friendly and nice. It is my impression that the corporation Thousand Trails put no money into this campsite and the people who work there try their best with very little.

We arrived late in the evening and there was an attendant at the gate who flagged us in with a flashlight and guided us into a space and helped us back in in the dark which was great. The park was okay and guests friendly. We just stayed for the night on the way home. I wouldn't want to go for an extended visit. We have two kids 7 and 11. There is a small pond and playground along with the indoor pool that were okay. Spaces are tight. There were spaces in the woods but also seemed tight. Nice spot, close to the highway but quite.

it depends on what you are looking for. We went with 3 kids, 9-11 years old. It was great for that age enough to keep them busy, but not so big that you get lost in the place. The kids loved it and that was what this trip was for.The lake is small, but again for this age it was great. They have a few kayaks, a canoe and a boat you can borrow which was nice. The pool and hot tub were nice, again not fancy, but functional. We had a cabin, very small and basic, but served the purpose. For the price it was good. If you are looking for an economical way to take a family camping then this would be a good place. If you are looking for a more upscale resort atmosphere then probably not. For us, it worked out very well. I must add that all the staff we dealt with were very nice. The prices in store very reasonable, but they close early, check hours. Again, it all depends on what you are looking for. Also, all sites did have a fire pit and most have a grill.
