Stray Hen Cafe

This place was fantastic! We were met by the manager who was very friendly and gave us great instructions on how to order and sent us to the counter. Ordering with easy I especially liked the water selection… Sparkling was delicious and I typically don’t say that about water! We liked the playing card We were given to set on our table. The food came in a timely matter and was presented nice and tasted delicious. The Restaurant was clean as well as the bathrooms. All and all a great experience Would definitely go again!

If you’re in Ann Arbor or Chicago and you want some bomb a** food you have to go to Stray Hen Cafe. The breakfast menu is everything you need and more. Sweet and or savory, large portion sizes, overall just amazing. The lunch menu has healthy delicious options that are absolutely divine also great portion sizes. My friends and I started going there after the new year and we crave it weekly. The staff is phenomenal. They’re outgoing, extremely helpful, kind and energetic. By far half the reason why we keep coming back. Brennan has always been such a ray of sunshine walking through the front door. He’s there greeting you and always has great suggestions for food if you can’t decide. Definitely our favorite. Will be regulars for the rest of time.

Our first visit and it quickly became a favorite that we cannot wait to visit again. We stopped by for breakfast/brunch, delighted to see a variety in the menu options. There were great coffee and tea options as well, though we didn't give those a try today. Equally delightful was the atmosphere. There is a variety of seating options, and tables are spaced apart enough to provide a feeling of openness, even when there was a heavy crowd. The staff was just as great, friendly amd cheerful.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! The decor is phenomenal and the staff was super nice and helpful. Everything we ordered was amazing and we can't wait to go back! We went for breakfast but now we need to try the lunch menu. Such a fun spot.

Customer service is great here! The atmosphere is very laid back and relaxed. Our cashier was very knowledgeable about the menu and she had a very sweet personality. Our food was made with very fresh ingredients, but the flavor was not what I had in mind. However, I loved the huge marshmallow served in the hot chocolate.

Amazing staff, very likeable. Food is great, slightly pricey though. The line is rather long, come if you have some time. Definitely get one of the toasts, it was really good. We got the Burrata toast and it was amazing. It did not fill me up, though. Very nice location. The store is great for pictures as well. Amazing decorations. Great place to go out with someone definitely.

I had breakfast here while in town for a business trip. The food was really good quality. I got the ancient grain bowl which was surprisingly only about 30% yogurt and 70% green. It was nice to see a place be heavy handed with the more expensive ingredients. I am only giving four stars because I found it a little bit obnoxious that as a customer at the checkout screen prompt you to tip with a suggested tipping amount of 20%. However, you get your own menus, see yourself, go get your own drinks from the drink bar and need to go back up to the bar for anything else you need. It’s pretty much a self-service location, and it is absolutely wonderful at what it does. However I think prompting customers to tip when no dining services being provided it’s pretty silly. I also found that if you do take out a prompt you with the same exact screen. It seemed odd to expect or ask for customers to tip when they are not even dining in at the location and no delivery service has been performed either. All of that said, the food was phenomenal, the ingredients they are very good quality, and the young lady at the checkout desk was very kind. Every menu item that I saw people around me get also looked wonderfully delicious

Top notch food plus selection of coffees and cooler drinks! The waffle flight was AMAZING. Sliders were definitely hefty enough to have leftovers Very very cool atmosphere and the staff were professional and attentive!

Definitely the place to be for brunch! My party and I waited in line for about 30-40 minutes before ordering, but this was no issue when our food came out 5-10 minutes later! Speedy service and frequent check-ins. I was excited at first, seeing waiters go by with massive plates of food - stacks of pancakes and thick slices of French toast. When I waited in line everything seemed to be worth the price... until I was served my toast. Though topped with fresh ingredients, it was small, underwhelming, and not worth the $10+. Would suggest anything but the toasts on the menu, worth the price.

Very nice interior, though it was crowded when I went a Sat morning. Friendly greeter and staff. Food came on time and was tasty. Coffee was underwhelming though, and i realized there was a certain hidden charge service? Overall, was a nice cafe, and will be back!
