I stayed in the Sumac cottage, a sweet cottage with one bedroom , living room, kitchen, and patio area. Wonderful views from every window. I couldn't believe how clean everything was! A holiday in itself with great viewing deck to the sea or Annapolis basin, the grounds are lovely with lots of walking trails into the woods or to the beach. Great location close to Annapolis Royal, Digby and to the Replica House of Maude Lewis! Lovely stay!
We stayed in the garden view cottage for Thanksgiving weekend. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. We didn’t realize there was no tv when we booked the cottage but who cares. Wifi was good so we listened to music and laughed at TikTok videos. Wood burning fireplace and they provided the wood. Gavin who checked us in was very helpful and said to call if we needed anything! I was surprised that we had a full view of the basin as trees were removed and a patio installed so it was absolutely incredible. The tide is gradual but amazing to see the different landscape. Food was hard to come by, delivery apps don’t service the area Restaurants in Digby that were supposed to be open for takeout were closed so good old McDonald’s for dinner. I will absolutely go back with our family and bring food as there was a bbq and kitchen. My bad on the food situation but an absolutely awesome place!
10/10, cannot overstate how thrilled we were with our stay at Still Point. We stayed in Sumac Cottage for several nights and were very happy with both the location 10mins to Digby, 1hr to Brier Island with amazing whale watching and the property well-maintained, well mapped. The cottage itself was very clean and had all the amenities we needed, including a well equipped kitchen and a wraparound deck. The bed was very comfortable, and the cottage is just the right size for two people. The cottage itself has a partial view of the water from the kitchen/deck, and walking outside for the full panoramic sunset views was one of our highlights. We didn't walk many of the trails but those we saw had great signage, the beach is a short walk away and is best for seashell finding/exploring at low tide. Laura and Gavin were excellent hosts, very friendly and quick to be generous. We will definitely be returning!
What a gorgeous place with wonderful hosts! This was an incredible experience! We typically book brand name hotels but decided to give something alittle different a try! This place did not disappoint. I am not sure which I was more impressed with - the room or the lovely people who own the lodge. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and floral smells floating in the air, the tranquility hits you immediately as you get out of your vehicle. We were greeted at the front of the lodge by one of the owners who gave us a thorough introduction to the grounds and amenities. Our room was up a flight of stairs, we were greeted by a beautiful balcony with muskoka chairs, upon entering the room we were immersed in a truly country cottage feeling with crisp white quilts and beautiful decor. The room was well appointed with a TV, Microwave, Coffee maker and fridge with utensils, plates, cups and coffee provided. The rooms were clean and well laid out. We had a two bedroom suite with one queen bed and two single beds in another room. The property is surrounded by greenery with trails meandering through the property as well as access to a beach. It is an easy 15 minute drive to Digby. You are far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to run into town or sight see. We would stay here in a heartbeat when we stay in the area again! Completely exceptional experience.
Myself and my husband stayed in one of the cottages over a week ago for 3 nights. The cottage was so lovely and very clean. Everything was there that we needed. The patio was huge and we had the most awesome view of of the water. It was quite nice to watch the water and see it go from high tide to low tide. There are so many great walking trails in the beautiful wooded area. Thank you to the wonderful owners!! We will be back.
We just got back from Still Point Lodge, pretty awesome weekend. 6 of us stayed in the Sea Breeze, comfortable beds, big kitchen, we brought all our own food and cooked all our meals. Laura and Gavin were very hospitable and showed us around the retreat and their new cabins being built on the edge of the cliff with breath taking views of Digby and the water. We had a bonfire both nights, at the look off deck, comfortable chairs to sit in, fire pit provided and the great outdoors. A truly relaxing weekend.
Excellent stay. We stay at the Still point lodge with our children. We loved the Cottage, modern and equipt with all you could possibly think of. Views were stunning. The place has its own 2 mile beach. Gavin the owner, was super nice and friendly. We're looking forward to our next stay.Rooms: 5/5
Last Summer we drove from Toronto to New Found Land via PEI and Nova Scotia 7500 Km trip. While at Digby, for three nights we stayed at this lodge and it was such a wonderful experience. The rooms & kitchen were clean and tidy and they were decorated in the Twentieth Century fashion, the beds, the cutlery, the paintings - - very much like the Green Gable house we saw at Cavendish PEI, but with bigger rooms. The lodge was actually a Colonial Hotel about half a century ago and they were decorated as such. It was such a unique experience. We wanted to experience nature, far from the crowd in Toronto and at this lodge we enjoyed it a lot. There is a nice beach outside the property where clams can be found sometimes. When I asked my young daughters that what do they still remember from our East Coast trip from last year - - they fondly remembered their experience at this Lodge. Thank you Laura and Gavin.
Absolutely stunning vistas! Charming and comfortable rooms, nicely appointed and beautifully decorated for a peaceful stay. Many well-maintained trails for walking, including down to a rocky beach. Owners are friendly and have worked to make the rooms, gardens and grounds really special. Wish we could have stayed longer!
We had a great experience, just spending this past weekend in one of the Cottages there . We stayed in Sumac Cottage it was neat and Clean with a working Kitchen ,made it easy to fix A few meals in .
