Dunromin Camp Site

Story

With over 2000 feet of shoreline on the Annapolis Basin and looking directly across the shining waters of historic Annapolis Royal, Dunromin has over 2000 feet of shoreline on the Annapolis Basin, whose waters flow into the Bay of Fundy and the Atlantic Ocean. In the earlier times the Mic Maw camped and fished on this very spot and Champlain piloted his great white winged tall ship along the ocean coast to this sheltered harbor of "Port Royale".

I spent the night with my new RV here last week. This was a maiden voyage for me to learn my RV systems. This campground was spotless clean and well organized and with a great layout which made navigating easy. I have a full bathroom in my RV but chose to use the campgrounds. It too was spotless clean which was greatly appreciated. The owner (Josh) was kind and very friendly. A note to those of you out there with children...this campground is currently in the process of having a brand new in-ground pool built which will be ready for the spring.

This place is very unique! The service over all was great! It has a very country setting with the cafe. They even farm Thier own eggs, they also have several choices of home made jams and bread. Everything in the campground, arcade, playground, pool, showers are centrally located so they are easy for everyone to access and the showers were very clean and we'll kept. And the beach is just a short walk away from the excitement. The lots are a bit small however it truly was an amazing experience.

It is close to the beautiful town of Annapolis Royal right on the water but the campground is a bit dated. Unfortunately it rained for most of our stay and the gravel lot was more dirt and mud than gravel. We ended up leaving early due to the water on our site. But they did offer us a night for free, which was nice.

Our last campground on Nova Scotia. The owners are incredibly kind and easy going. The view over the water is beautiful, we had some amazing sunsets as well. The walk to town is about 20 minutes.

We stayed during the week so it was very quiet. Beautiful spot with nice views of the water. Washrooms and showers were clean and as nice as any campground I've stayed at. Lovely, helpful staff, beautiful area with much to see and do.
