We are a licensed, play-based preschool located in Vancouver's Westside.

Story

We are pleased to offer the following three programs for the 2017-2018 school year:

2 Day Class: Monday & Tuesday mornings
3 Day Class: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday mornings
5 Day Class: Monday to Friday mornings

Stepping Stone Preschool is conveniently located across from the Choices Market at 57th & West Boulevard. We are right next to the #16 Arbutus/29th Ave bus and a five minute walk from the #10 Granville/Downtown bus for those who prefer transit. There is a coffee shop with free Wi-Fi and an Italian restaurant with a patio for parents who would prefer to stay in the neighborhood during school hours.

We begin every day (rain, shine or snow) outside on our enclosed playground as we believe outdoor activities are a part of a healthy balanced life. Please see our website for more details on the daily schedule and to see pictures of our indoor and outdoor facilities!

Mission

We are a licensed, play-based, multi-disciplinary preschool program for children ages 2.5 to 5. Since our first days in September of 1975, when a group of parents banded together to establish a high-quality non-profit school, we have been proud to offer an enriching program that balances fun and learning to prepare you and your child for the coming years of education. We currently offer programs in the morning available in 2, 3, and 5 day options.

Our multi-disciplinary approach allows our teachers to tailor every class and activity to the needs, interests and abilities of the children in that particular group. Our teachers have a wide base of knowledge concerning child development, including the philosophies of Reggio Emilia and the theories of a variety of child psychologists and educators. Our teachers are continually developing to ensure that we are offering the most current ideologies and activities available for children.
