The Vancouver Bilingual Preschool is a fully licensed Early Childhood facility. The program is unique among area preschools in combining an excellent education with bilingual instruction in both French and English.

Story

The Vancouver Bilingual Preschool was founded in 1962 by a group of visionary parents who wanted a bilingual preschool experience for their children.

The early classes met in a local church, under the guidance of warm, engaging and innovative teachers.

In 1970, the school moved to it's beautiful current home at 949 West 49th Avenue. While our classrooms are continually upgraded, the children know this as a familiar place to feel welcome and to thrive.

The enthusiasm and traditions of those early years continue to this day, enhanced by modern technology and teaching methods adapted to today's learners.

Marpole Bilingual Montessori school is a great place for my son. He has been the school for almost 2 years, and always enjoyed the school life. In his class, Both the English teacher and the French teacher are excellent. They are so professional on early education, with super kind and nice personality, and strict disciplines with Montessori rules. The school environment is clean and organized. Their principal made appropriate rules to keep kids safe and prevent spreading disease. We definitely love the school! This is the best preschool at Vancouver west.
We knew we have picked the right school for our daughter when we see the smile on her face everyday. The teachers at Marpole Bilingual are phenomenal. We are very impressed with the skills that are being taught in school such as working together, manners, taking care of themselves and academics. This is not only a school for kids, but also a great community for the parents as well. We believe this is the best choice we have made for our daughter and we would strongly recommend this school to anyone.
Alumni Student 4 years 2001 - 2004 - Marpole Bilingual Montessori is an establishment which is founded upon basic principles which have been, and are continually executed with meticulous attention to detail. Classrooms are orientated in a fashion which promotes creativity and learning in a healthy, yet sociable environment. The educators which are present assist the students in the utmost professional and friendly fashion. They are immensely engaging with the children during all times of instruction and beyond. My experiences from the school have been nothing but positive —In my honest opinion, without the education and instruction that I had received at the school, I would not be doing so well in the areas in which I strive to succeed in. The balance between the two languages that are taught, and in the fashion in which they are taught, is carried out in a highly intuitive way. My previous convictions regarding the school are continually validated each and every time I revisit the school. I have, and will continue to recommend this school to any parent seeking the most professional and most beneficial education for their children.
I am a now 16 year old girl and I will never forget my horrible experience at Marpole Bilingual Montessori. I feel bad for the other children attending this montessori at the moment. I still remember my experience, crystal clear. When I was 4 years old, I used to attend this preschool. The teachers were so rude, mean and overly strict. I was only 4, and I needed a tissue due to my runny nose. I was absent the day before, since I was sick. I was still a bit sick. Most of the tissues in the box were stuck together, and when I took a tissue, I accidentally pulled out a few more. Just because of this, the teacher called me a "tree killer" and then put me in a time out. Of course, I was just a young toddler, so I started crying. Because I was crying, the teacher then called me a "brat" and then extended my time out. My mom thought that their montessori program was very poor and unprofessional. She said that during my time there, I did not learn any montessori skills and in fact, I developed a lot of bad habits, like not cleaning after myself. This montessori is absolutely not legitimate and parents should never send your child to this school ever again.
