I thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour hosted by Craig. He was friendly, patient and informative. He did a great job during the historic highlights walking tour for me and my brother. I would recommend him to anyone else who is visiting the Ottawa area.
We were in Ottawa for a conference and had enjoyed walking around checking things out for a few days. As much as we explored in 3 days on our own, we were blown away with how much we learned and realized we hadn’t noticed on our walking tour with Craig and Megan!. Craig is engaging, knowledgeable and entertaining. We had so much fun and it truly was the highlight of our trip! You will not be disappointed!
Craig MacDonald was our tour guide for the free 2 hour walking tour. He was an excellent guide! He was an entertaining storyteller, engaging, friendly, and very passionate about history. I don't usually like history talks but he had my attention the whole time. I thoroughly enjoyed the walk to get my bearings around downtown Ottawa and I learned alot of interesting information. I highly recommend this tour...and Craig as your guide!!
Craig did an outstanding job walking us thru Ottawa. We learned so much and had a lot of laughs. The guide always makes the tour and Craig did not disappoint! I highly recommend booking with him when you visit Ottawa!!

Look no further, this is hands down the very best walking tour company in Ottawa. The detail, and educational research done allows those experiencing this tour to not only learn more about Ottawa, the memorials, famous landmarks, and parliament buildings. But also to get a sense of what things were like historically in the past. The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable, and open to answering any questions. And are very friendly and accommodating to the guests needs. I would " highly " recommend this tour company, you will not be disappointed.

Been on many city walking tours around the world in my day and Ottawa Walking Tours ranks among the best. Craig was a fantastic guide. Knowledgeable. Interesting. Good sense of humor. Offered his opinion if you asked. Really appreciated him accommodating my wife and I on incredibly short notice even though his only tour on a freezing cold Saturday in February was already full. Highly recommended if you're visiting Ottawa and want to learn about the city's and country's history.
Amazing tour. One of my favorite "free tours" I've been on. Very entertaining and educational. Craig, my tour guide, knew everything about the city and was very enthusiastic. We didn't know what we wanted to do while in Ottawa but Craig was able to give us a few really good suggestions. I definitely recommend taking this tour as soon as you get to Ottawa. You will discover most of the city and know exactly what to do while you are in Ottawa.
