Easy trails. Note very long. Open mature forest. Went on July 3/21 to check out the geology and to photograph plants. Good for young families with small kids. Some parts are suitable for strollers and possibly wheelchairs.
Cute trail. However it is pretty short and quick. So depending on what you are looking for it will be suitable or not: quick walk with a dog: yes. If you need at least an hour walk on trail: then maybe not. But if you follow the pathway towards the meadows, another kilometer- the big trail starts there.
Mini forest but good for a quick walk or exercice
If you need fresh morning air, this is the best spot !
Eva James community centre is in the park. Great venue for volleyball
This park has a small trail and two baseball diamonds. I also find it a convenient place to take the dogs for a quick walk. People also walk their dogs off- leash on the trail even though this is not technically a dog park. The biggest problem with this park is that it has way more mosquitoes than most other parks I have been to. Some parts of the trail are also uneven and a bit hard to walk through.
City needs to pick It up and stop showing clear signs of neglect and discrimination to the demographic that utilizes the basketball court, in particular. The soccer field has stadium lights up until 11pm. The baseball diamond also has stadium lights up until 11pm. The basketball court has absolutely no lights. When we all saw construction being done, we were all happy because we expected lights. To our disappointment , they added more trees?? Why is that? You must ask why they've added trees to impair a straight line of sight to the court. The city needs to do better. Unacceptable.
Next to eva James CC Facilties during bus. Hours, small forested area, with sporting facilities and trail for walking or biking
Beautifully lit soccer field for evening play. There is a ball diamond and very close to the Eva James community centre. Surrounded by forest.
Two softball diamonds ~240ft in the woods. Nice location, when it rains the northern one doesn't drain as well. Bring mosquito repellent.
