State & Main Kitchen & Bar

I’ve been to State & Main several times and unfortunately my experiences have been very inconsistent. There’s been times where I’ve had great service and great food, but just as many times I’ve had mediocre food (including what was probably the worst burger I’ve ever had in my life, an undercooked patty of unseasoned beef) and poor service. It’s hard to recommend a place where you don’t really know what kind of food and service you’re going to get from night to night.

Placed an order on SkipTheDishes that came out wrong. I called the manager at this location and she was very apologetic and went above and beyond to make fix the mistake. All too often an apology and refund will be given when something like this occurs but it was refreshing to experience a manager that cared and corrected the mistake. Thank you!!

Very long wait times for food, even though it was quite obvious that the establishment wasn't busy, little to no accommodations for allergies with no negotiations with any dishes, overall bland and distasteful meals both unappealing and unappetizing, and an unsanitary cooking department that likely had little care for their customers safety and health concerns. Generally a displeasing and awful experience all around.

I'm not local to red deer but everytime I come here I always stop at this state and main and last time I went the service was great and the food arrived in relative good time. I do find it you get a meal with dipping sauce or gravy it lacks in quantity of the sauce which made me wait a few minutes for the waitress to come around again
