Starbucks

This review is long overdue, but I can’t say enough about how much I love Christine and the team at this location! They make you feel special from the moment you walk in, and always have something positive to say to give you a little boost in the mornings. They take pride in making “the best drink ever” every day, and even when they are busy they still make sure everyone has that same lovely experience. They truly start my day off in the best way possible, and I want to thank every one of them for being so kind and amazing!!

I’ve ordered the grande latte a couple times, and each time it’s been filled about half an inch below the rim with another half inch of foam. The drink also feels noticeably lighter compared to the same order from the Industrial Ave location. In addition, service tends to be quite slow, both at the drive-through and in-store.

In town, there are 3 basketball & 2 hockey tournaments as well as a major swim meet. This store is the closest to the facilities. To say the least, they got slammed. But, despite short staffing, they handled the crowds with poise and excellence. Served every customer with a smile. For 3 days straight, my daughter and I have stopped in before heading to our event and the crew helped to make our day start out right. Well done Starbucks. Definitely worth the 5 stars!

Perfect location, so convenient for me, as is for many others, as noticed in the wait times which can be very long up to 20 min. despite ordering ahead I’ve been to many Starbucks all over BC and it seems like they lack some consistency and how a drink is made. I ordered the same thing and specifically when I want my cup lined with caramel some use the dark burnt tasting caramel sauce and some use the regular. I’d be interested to know what is the correct version and is there a way I can specify which caramel I prefer? Additionally there are several locations that don’t seem to take much care in the drink delivery for Takeaway in that they overfill the cup, which creates a sticky mess for you to deal with while driving. I love Starbucks. I’m never going to stop going there. Would just love to see some of these locations. Improve their customer service standards.

This has happened a couple times: the staff gives my drink to someone else, I'm waiting over half an hour for my coffee, when I ask about the status of my drink they say they gave it to someone else and don't offer any compensation for the mistake. The quality of the coffee is good and there's a good cafe atmosphere. But I personally think Starbucks should be giving a free drink if you're waiting over 30 minutes for your order that they themselves gave away as a staff mistake. The level of service doesn't reflect Starbucks. I am unsure if this is lack of training in client connections or if the manager discourages compensating customers for mistakes, or if Starbucks as a company is moving away from establishing good client connections.
