Stacy's Island Flavor

Wow was I pleasantly surprised by this spot as I think it’s new owners and a previous business elsewhere that moved here and they are doing it right. I popped in quick to try their Jerk Chicken and see what it’s saying and it was authentic and amazing to say the least. I ordered the regular size but I think for a few dollars more I’d get the large next time as it was that good and even if you don’t finish it, it seems this food will hold very well till later on or the next day if need be. The Chicken was juicy and well cooked and fell off the bone and had some really nice flavour to it as well. The rice and peas were just right too and the coleslaw was creamy and blended into all the flavours perfectly. That might be one of the top 3 Jerk Chicken Dinners I’ve tried in Toronto and that says a lot because I’ve tried many and even in Jamaica as well and this ranks right up there with the best of them. I also grabbed a Spicy Beef Patty as well and it was nice and flaky and had good flavour as well. I’m sure I’ll be returning again to try some of their other dishes one day since I had a great experience today. Also the gentleman serving at the front was very polite and made you feel welcomed which is always a bonus. Keep up with the great work and flavours here and I’m sure everything will work out just fine

The platters here are huge, enough to feed someone like me 2 meals. They're generous with the rice and beans, and I would have liked more coleslaw and chicken because they were so good. The large is worth it for $15, and the lunch special for $8 seems well worth it too. Chris Jerk is great, and Stacy's is definitely killing it as competition. I'll be coming back for sure.

Stacy's is a great place to get food from. I go there on days that I work in the office. The food is very tasty and the staff is very friendly and kind. Must try the steam vegetable, best I have had!!! I have had their jerk chicken, fry chicken, stew peas, cake, vegetable and plantain and I have no complaints!

Great Jamaican food. First time trying this restaurant. I got a regular jerk chicken dinner, festivals, jerk chicken sandwich and patty. The portions are good compared to similar restaurants. The food taste great. I recommend visiting and supporting this small business.

Easily one of my favourite hidden gems in this part of Markham East. I first gave this place a try on a whim and was blown away by how good everything was! Having been back several times now, I can also attest that they're remarkably consistent. My personal favourite is the goat curry and plantains - the goat is always seasoned wonderfully and is incredibly tender and moist. The plantains are also a great texture and have a nice sweetness to them. I've also tried the jerk chicken and can say that it's similar to the goat in tasting great and not being dry at all. Although the food has a slight kick, it's quite mild, is never overpowering, and retains a balanced flavour first and foremost. The food is also quite affordable and they're generous with the portions - as you can see, they are great with packing the boxes tight. Love coming here whenever I have the chance, and would highly recommend it to others!

Went this afternoon based on a recommendation and always passing by it. Chris’ Jerk was always my go to spot for jerk chicken/rice n beans, but Stacy’s place pretty much converted me today haha. The chicken was tender and well seasoned and a good amount of spice! You know these type of places are good at what they do when they give you boned-chicken with no knife utensil. The chicken meat pretty much slid off the bones with a fork. Quite honestly, the only problem was there wasn’t enough of it. Lunch special is $7.99 + tax and I was in and out within four mins. Gotta report back soon with the roti and curry goat.

I was absolutely devastated when I found out Stacy's old East Markham location closed out of the blue, indefinitely around a year ago. Stacy's was my absolutely favourite caribbean restaurant in Markham and nothing else came close. Imagine my excitement when I found out she found a new location at Pharmacy/Sheppard which is still fairly close to me! I got the Jerk Pork today and it is exactly the same as I remember it. As always you can tell Stacy really cares about her food and her customers and always welcomes you with a huge smile.

Food is delicious, huge portions , affordable! Staff very friendly especially the owner , love her vibe & energy. Enjoyed my meal & will definitely be back !

Ordered it from Uber eats, it was hot and fresh. Really tasty. Jerk chicken and patties are my favourite Update: Ordered again and look at the amount and freshness to it. 10/10

The lady was exceptionally polite to me and patient. I had the lunch special. Jerk chicken, rice and peas. A bottle of water was included in the price. 9$. Very reasonable and fair. The food was great. I’ve had worse Caribbean food for more money at several locations nearby. Can’t wait to try something else next time my travels bring me here. What a great experience.
