Story

The St. John's Veterinary Hospital was established in 1981 and has been providing our clients with over 32 years of expertise, care and compassion. We are a full service, 5 doctor establishment located in the center of historic St. John's, Newfoundland.

The practice is AAHA accredited which means that the hospital has met rigid standards in veterinary care, staffing, and hospital facilities to ensure quality medicine for your friends.

Great atmosphere from the start. The ladies on the front desk are warm and welcoming, the tech was professional and friendly and the clinic was clean. The vet I saw was understanding and listened to what I had to say, and offered various treatment options. Fantastic clinic, I definitely recommend it!

The front staff are absolutely amazing. Polite, kind, patient, and welcoming. The doctor we dealt with, however, was rude and condescending. I have a great respect for the grueling work of all veterinarians, but this blonde woman was beyond distasteful. We were made to feel belittled and stupid. I understand that her job is to take care of animals, not people, but to be so cold and rude is beyond acceptable. Due to her lack of tact, I will not be visiting this practice again.

Super kind and helpful staff and veterinarians that care about animals, even little rodents like mine. Dr. Simms is very knowledgeable, provides great counseling and follows up very well with her patients. I'm glad that my rats will be in her care if they need it again.

Very friendly staff and caring doctors. Also one of the only places in the province that accepts ferrets.
