This location is smaller than others, but I find the service is a lot friendlier! Don’t come too early, since the buns don’t come out until 11 am or later. I find the buns are smaller than before which seems to be the norm everywhere, but I do like the quality. Save with no tax by purchasing 6 or more items.
First time been to this location, staff is nice and friendly. Usually went to the ones at Hillcrest Mall and Markville Mall. Those two are always full of people so some times I gave up waiting in line. Overall, the cakes sold here is delicious, especially love the mango and tiramirsu cake. Chestnut cake is ok too but the portion of chestnut is too little, surely there is room for improvement.
In the last 12 months, whenever there was a family birthday gatherings and birthday parties, I always bought cakes from St Germain Bakery. Yesterday I did not online but I bought the cake at Pharmacy. I went there around 4:45 pm, but there was not too many choices. I bought a pistachio cherry cheese cake. I bought 8" one. When we had it in the restaurant. We found the base crumb was so big and we felt that we ate crumb crackers. In addition to that, the cheese cake was so hard and the outside of the cheese cake full of cracks. Each piece fell apart. This was my most disappointed cake that we ever had from St Germain. We did not eat every 1/3 of the cake and no one would take it back home.
We used to order from their Markville Mall location, but due to lockdown, we continued to support their business and ordered from their new location at St Germain Plaza. The quality of their cakes and buns were always consistent and fresh. We were never disappointed every time we celebrate special occasions with their cakes. It’s been a while and we finally get a chance to stop by on Victoria Day holiday. This time, we decided to buy our favourite Mango cake again. It was nicely decorated with fresh fruits and tasted yummy as always.

This is a great Chinese bakery with all of the classic buns and treats that you would typically find as well as some more interesting and fun picks. The quality is fantastic and the buns have a good ratio of filling/bread. The cakes are also very nice here and I also love the egg tarts.
I recently visited Saint Germain bakery and was blown away by the delicious pastries and baked goods! The croissants were flaky and buttery, and the almond croissant was especially heavenly. The breads were also top-notch - I particularly enjoyed the buns and cakes. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I will definitely be returning to Saint Germain bakery in the future, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious pastries and breads.
Always satisfactory with a visit to saint germain. Sister in law brought their strawberry shortcake for new years dinner The cake was nice and spongy and and the cream was light and freshened up with the ever so slight tartness of the strawberries Parking here can be tough as it’s limited with many restaurants within the tiny plaza. If you’re looking for a quick in and out of the bakery, recommend coming with someone and they can wait in the car, which will totally alleviate the stress of waiting for a spot Good thing is saint germain has opened up a lot more locations so there’s gonna be a location close to everyone! So glad that you have made a big expansion into toronto! Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids and more amazing content!
This is much less swanky of a Saint German location relative to the one at Markville and much smaller but they serve the same stuff. The buns and baked goods are tasty but are pricier than other Chinese bun places. Quality is better however and they also have a good selection of cakes including an interesting Rose cake. It's possible that the owner of this Saint Germain location also owns the entire plaza.
Ordered online and picked up a cake for Mother's Day. Not sure if it's usually this busy but there's 2 separate lines: the first door under their sign is for regular walk-in/phone orders, the other door further back is for online orders and UberEats. They're quite organized despite the number of people. We got a mango cake this time. Fresh and constructed well. Exactly the same as their Markville location.
