St. Clair West Subway Station

St. Clair West station is a hidden gem in Toronto’s transit system, thanks to the brilliant bronze installation The Commuters by Rhonda Weppler and Trevor Mahovsky. This whimsical parade of snails, each carrying a shell shaped like a lost item wallets, hats, even a violin case! never fails to lift my spirits. Inspired by The Secret World of OG, the piece transforms the station into a storybook scene where forgotten objects find new life. I never get tired of taking the stairs or escalators here and every time I pass through, I notice a new detail that makes me smile. It’s a rare moment of joy in the daily grind of commuting. Thank you to the artists and Toronto art council who made this possible!

I am very grateful to the staff here who went inside every line 1 street car to remind people that the train does not go further down the line due to a temporary closure. I was directed to the shuttle bus area and it was very easy. Thank you.

It's TTC line 1 Yellow Line beautiful Station. From this station taking Streetcar 512 Eastbound connecting St.Clair station. Easy access to street level Supermarket from the Subway Station.

It's a subway station.nThat said, there is construction at the entrance. You're using states it the elevator to enter and exit.

Any station that is indoors is fine with me! This particular station is always quite busy and definitely in need of an update. While it's not the most esthetically pleasing, it is spacious and I never feel like I'm in close proximity to other people, which is especially important to me these days. There is some construction currently underway but it doesn't impact accessibility or service.
