Currently the station is undergoing some upgrades/construction and there is a lot of confussion - on the bright side you don't even have to pay to enter provided you'll figure out where the entrance is. During the day you just follow other people, it might be harder if it's night time/no pedestrians to follow.nI NEVER give a low rating to any place that offers public washroom - hence 4 stars. the station can definitely use better signage.nIf you’re planning to transfer there, do some research ahead of time, because it won’t be easy to find your bus. There are two platforms to board - platform A is right above the subway station, the other one - platform B - is a short walk away. There are signs with a list of buses, explaining which platform they leave from. There is also an LED display with the scheduled departure times, but keep in mind, that not all buses for whatever reason are listed there.nAll my visits to this place were during daytime, so it wasn’t too bad I saw lots of complains about unsavoury activities happening in late hours. Although I admit, that a gentleman who sat in the back of the bus I was on, opened his beer and started drinking even before the bus left the station and that was like before noon. But it is what it is. In terms of shops - there is a small booth where you can buy lottery tickets and a Getaway stand with coffee and some food. the station has three levels - the lowest is subway platform, then there is a level with washroom plus some art, including R.I.P Line 3 painting. The buses/street level is the top. Some pigeons hang around. I usually don’t have high expectations so I would say the station is OK, but it takes a while to figure out where the things are with the construction going on.
Kennedy Station marks the eastern end of the Green line operated by the TTC, ending in the Toronto Borough of Scarborough. It is a typical Toronto subway station. It has a big passenger pickup that provides several ways for transit riders to access different parts of Scarborough. If you are interested in exploring Scarborough, this is a good transit hub to visit. Free WiFi provided by the TTC, provides transit riders something to do while they wait for the next bus or train.
Kennedy station is the 2nd most filthy TTC stations in disrepair. There're rats running the tracksides, station is constantly polluted by feces from pigeons, and people who feed them with leftover food or grains. Irate ranting homeless people often roam here. Extremely difficult to find pedestrian entrance into Kennedy station!
TTC line 2 Eastbound Final Station and TTC line 3 First RT Station is Kennedy Station. In the future line 2 Eastbound extension to Sheppard Station with extra three stations are Lawrence, Scarborough Center, and Final Station will be Sheppard Station. This station really crowded in Rush Hours. Washrooms are available. Lotto booth and convenient store are located at Bus Level. Many Buses are running from this station including Express Buses too. PRESTO terminals are available. This station is Terminal station to Go Train and New Eglinton line too.
I'm not going to lie and say I haven't been using this station for years and it's really convenient for me. But there's a lot of issues with it. It's probably the worst in terms of safety and it's also swamped with homeless people and loiterers especially during the night. But that's not even why I decided to take the time out of my day to write this review; the reason I did is because the bus scheduling is almost never correct, especially with the 34. I'm aware that it goes along eglinton which is one of the most busy main roads, but can't they just increase the bus count on the 34. It's actually ridiculous, they've been working on creating an alternative shuttle bus system to replace the line 3 RT, which is useless until they fix the problem with the 34.
