Sorry Ssong Hot Dog, but your price is way too high for what I had paid. I had ordered a large order of Korean Fried Chicken, half-half Half salt&pepper and half sweet spicy. It came to $21.89 for the order + $1.50 for ordering the half-half option + $1.17 tax for a grand total of $24.56. $24.56 for only 16 pieces of 1 inch squared cube-sized boneless chicken… I might understand the cost if it was a larger portion or if the taste is out of this world, which it’s not. The chicken is bland and dry, the flavor is only from the coating on the chicken. Very disappointed and I will not be back.
Newly opened Korean style hot dog shop in Robson st. Their fried-batter is amazing. So crunchy and texture is just great. It is really hard to choose only one because all the inside stuff are good. My favorite was potato-mozzarella-dog with glass of beer Food: 5/5
Very friendly service! We got there at 11:45am and saw that they opened at noon. The girl saw us standing in the cold and let us wait inside while she prepared to open. This was my first time having a Korean corn dog and I enjoyed it. It was a little bit of a wait since they prepare each corn dog fresh after ordering. Potato mozz stick with beef & chicken hot dog: it was bigger than I expected and the batter was so thick and crunchy! I liked ripping the potatoes off the corn dog and dipping it in sauce. I also liked the mozzarella cheese, but couldn't get a good cheese pull. They have so many sauce options at no extra charge. I added spicy mayo, sweet chili and ketchup. Potato tornado: would not recommend. For $5.99 it's very small and not like the ones you see at the night market.
I have been posting fancy places but this tiny restaurant Ssongs is an awesome option for going for a snack or a nice entree before party or drink. Also for fill up that little space in the stomach if you didn’t get full at all. Well I just can’t say how good is it better come and try it.
Gotta admit it was pretty tasty! The deep-fried batter just melts in your mouth but it's not the best corndog I've had.. Good experience overall and I appreciated the super friendly service!Food: 4/5
Yummy hotdogs with lots of sauce options!! Prices are reasonable. And they also make cotton candy in front your face!!
This place should be on your list if you are a fan of Korean style hotdogs! I'm glad it finally came to Vancouver! I strongly recommend potato mozz and seaweed sticks! Toppoki sauce spicy is my favourite so far, but I would love to try all kinds of sauce that they have!
Stumbled into the soft opening by accident but ended up getting really tasty dogs with sugar on top. Servers were friendly and gave me their recommendations. Will definitely come back when they are fully launched!
Really good Korean hot dogs, batter was really tasty and the sausage used was high quality. Great place for a beer and a dog. Nice place with ample seating. Manager and staff a were friendly.Food: 5/5
Fun new addition to the West End/Coal Harbour neighbourhood and I enjoyed stopping by to try it out. Was happy to get a discount and complimentary glass of beer as part of the opening promotions! The hot dog itself was quite yummy and I enjoyed the mozzarella cheese a lot I got a half/half mozza and beef dog. Friendly service and I think this place has lots of potential.
