The store had really friendly employees. "AJ", ? big muscular, about 5'11" was knowledgeable, helpful, positive with my shoe suggestions, the Asian female was great answering my bike questions, and even the cashier was super friendly as well. The store was well stocked enough but it was in the middle of a big sale and things were a bit all over the place but understandable.
not even 1 star. few weeks ago, I bought my son's hockey equipment here. skate, stick , shin guards, .. other thing, First of all, the staff did not pay attention to us. I stayed 3.5 hours to buy all equipment. I do not have knowledge about hockey as my son just started learning. couple of class after, I realized the staff sold us wrong size of hockey pants the only on JR Small, hocky pans are too small to wear after he put "shin guard" and socks. Other problem is the staff sold us Senior large size of elbow pads as "shin guards" The staff doesn't know what is what. Zero knowledge no support/ wrong support for Hockey starters they keep saying if the size is wrong, return to the store, but their return policy is "unused " condition. so, I lost my money for two items and 3.5 hours of my time. of course at that they my son miss an evening tutor.
Many thanks for Yusufali, the staff who has excellent eye sight to help me find the insole that I could not find after searching for a long time. He was very kind and enthusiastic to help search for it. It was a great experience to shop here knowing so many staff with a good heart helping us!
Had the best experience @Sport Chek on Oct. 19. I went in to sharpen my son's new skates, and, to my surprise, found out their was an hour wait. My son had skating classes literally in 30 mins, and they understood my dilemma, empathized with the situation and prioritized sharpening my son's skates. I really appreciated this act of kindness from the Service Team! Thank You!!
Went to do an exchange and spoke with Gurneet, one of the managers. She helped me through the process, since the item was no longer available. She went out of her way to make sure the customer experience was perfect.
Skate inventory is quite limited. I remember the skate section to be a lot larger in previous years, but my memory may be failing me. Staff were great and very helpful. Convenient location as well.
The store manager, Risa hope I spelled her name correctly was very professional and helpful. I had purchased an Adidas product from SportChek online and found its manufacturing quality to be subpar. Risa understood the issue and was quick to help me to resolve the problem, despite the store being busy on a Saturday. If you want to purchase from SportChek, this is the location that offers the best customer service.
If it would be possible to leave 0 star review - I would. Today, 26th of December, finally making time to return the item I bought online, spending 30 minutes driving and 5 minutes finding the shop in the mall, I was rejected to return the item. Today, 26th of December, they have a policy of not accepting returns! Oh - now we have to google what days we are able to do the returns?! I would have understood that if the staff was overwhelmed, that there were so many people behind me in the queue to cashier. But there was nobody. And 4 cashiers. After saying that I will never ever be their customer again, cashier girl said it's ok. Ok then! never I will. Hope other people will not too. Horrible service and disrespect to customers.
You can pretty much find everything you would need for any sport. From clothing wear, electronics, Shoes, camping equipment, ski and snowboard, ice-skating, tennis and so much more. It’s hard to get someone to help you on busy days. If you have anymore questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
I want to share my experience. I was very upset because i could not locate the specific equipment i had planned to purchase, after being brushed away by several staff members i was fed up and leaving. As i was exiting very angry, one staff member in particular stopped me. She must of overheard what happend, she quickly assured me that she will take care of it and i will leave happy. To my surprise this young lady found exactly what i was looking for. Her name is Honey, hire more people like her or promote her. she saved me a lot of time. Thank you.
