Spoon Sushi Express

A colleague recommended trying this restaurant and so we went for lunch. From the outside, it could easily be missed or overlooked, as it shared a parking lot with a gas station.nnThat being said, the menu had a number of varied options and pricing was very good. The food was served tastefully and well arranged. Simple but elegant.nnThe staff were extremely friendly, and very responsive to our needs. They were always not far away and yet we felt like we had a good amount of privacy.nnThe ambiance inside the restaurant is simple. Clean but nothing elaborate.nnAs a tip, if you are eating on a cold day, pick a table away from the windows, as the front exterior walls are a bit thin and the cold transfers through it significantly.

One of best restaurants in town. Quiet and easy to talk. Lots of different spaces to sit and the food is super delicious. The service is excellent, Sangmee was great. The decorations are better than Spoon 2 and there are lots of options to choose from. The service is on time. Will come back!

We went to enjoy sushi at Spoon and the service was fantastic, the waitress was sweet and attentive but unfortunately we got really disappointed - I ordered sashimi and found a few bugs as I was told later, it was lice on the fish. Initially I thought it was my imagination but they were big enough to see that they were indeed bugs. I complained about it and they brought me another dish of sashimi, which unfortunately contained the same bugs on the fish and lettuce. They said they keep the seaweed and fish at the same place, which is why those lice crawled from seaweed to the fish. I thought it was not ok to serve contaminated food to customers who might not even realize that they eat bugs there. Well, sadly enough, minus one sushi place from my list :

Other than the fact they have never given me wasabi despite asking for it every order they’re top notch! I keep going back knowing even if I ask I won’t get wasabi because they’re gyoza and California roll are incredible!!

My daughter’s favorite sushi place. Servers are always nice and kind. The sushi chef has really good techniques I’ve tried most of all sushi restaurants in Moncton It is worthy to try!
