Amazing selection of high quality loose leaf teas. There is an entire binder of delicious blends to choose from. I was incredibly impressed. To my surprise, this store is so much more than just the cool teapots displayed in their front windows. It is family operated - and they speak Dutch too! : I have been walking by this store for years and I can't believe I never ventured inside until now. Although the teapots and beautiful mugs are a bit more of a "want" than a "need," I would still recommend going in and looking around. The people are so friendly and sweet! Even though they were busy just the day before christmas, they had no problem answering all of my questions, offer opinions and recommendations, and taking the time to make me smile. As for the tea: it is exceptionally well priced. I left with a few really decent sized pouches which were each about ten dollars. There were other size options as well, starting at $5 for half the size. The 10$ ones will last a while because this is really flavourful stuff. Very unique ingredients and recipes. This place is a must-go and I only wish I had realized this sooner. 10/10!!
I have only been to Special Teas once and only for one tea, Jasmine Pearls. It is the worst Jasmine tea I have ever had, without ANY aroma or taste of jasmine whatsoever. In this instance, the tea was more expensive than other Victoria retailers.
Do not waste your time and money at Davids Tea. If you want real tea without a bunch of sugar and artificial flavouring added, go to this store. It has been around for a while and the staff is very knowledgeable. They have an amazing selection of very high quality/rare teas, but also have the basics at very reasonable prices. They also have a wide array of funky tea pots and cups, as well as classic Japanese sets.
Specialteas is my favourite tea store in Victoria. Great prices, lovely mixes, and good service. If you like tea, stop by and get some! I recommend the 1001 nights or chocolate pu'er!
This is my favourite place to go for high quality tea! Best of all, it doesn't break the bank. The staff here are great, the selection is massive, it's everything you could ever want in a tea store. If you like tea and are in Victoria I would absolutely recommend you visit here.
Great selection but I didn't feel very welcome as the woman helping didn't seem thrilled to be there. There is a huge selection and I am happy with what I chose but was hoping for a better shopping experience.
Amazing tea shop, awesome name. They have some really nice blends and rare varieties.
Now my one and only tea shop. Everything is imported and they blend their tea themselves. The selection is amazing and the teas are so well priced.
I say let the world go to hell, but I should always have my tea.
This store is wonderful. They have all the teas I ever dreamed of.
