My wife and I stayed at Chula Vista and made appointments for the Eminence Signature Facial. My wife's experience was good because she had an experienced esthetician. I ended up with a new esthetician who didn't know what she was doing. She skipped the arm and hand massage completely and was obviously not at all experienced in massage, which is part of a facial service. I have had much better facials from students at the Aveda institute. When I went to pay the manager asked me how the service was and I told her it wasn't good and didn't include the arm and hand massage that is in the description of the service. All the manager said was oh, your esthetician is new so she must have forgotten. She still charged me full price for the sub par service. I would not recommend this spa. If an esthetician is new they should be trained and not work until they are able to perform every service to a high standard. It isn't okay to charge full price for an inexperienced student quality esthetician.
