Southwest District Health

This WIC office deserves no "☆" whatsoever. There is a lady that works there that is very rude !! Most of the employees seem to be in a very bad mood. I get it , they must be tired from hearing a bunch of kids crying etc but eyy that's the job they chose i don't think anybody forced them to work there. I used to live in California and the ladies from the wic office over there are super nice , always have a smile on their face and trust me there is way more people they have to see on a daily basis than here in this office! Seriously disappointed ..

Every time I leave this place I feel overwhelming blessed and thankful This is the only place I can afford, sometimes I can't contribute anything and they still treat me very well. There is a real sense of care here you don't find other places.

I've only been here 4 times to get registered/receive WIC checks. Every time I am here the staff is either clueless or rude. I've had to call a on occasion trying to set up an appointment and it is impossible to reach anyone. I finally got a person today and they were so just so snappy. I tried to shrug it off when they were bad with my kids during registration (not patient at all and not friendly as they took blood to check iron levels, they didn't even talk or smile to them). Now I see that that should have been the red flag. I also tried to ignore the fact that it took an hour for them to print my checks the first time i went! RED FLAG. Yes WIC is intended for people in need, but I don't think that the employees at this WIC office even want to help anyone. They all act like they are going so far out of their way to do anything. I'm an average Joe, not those ladies who ask for 2% milk or anything special on the checks. I was polite every time going (even that time they were too lazy to re-register me in the system so my checks stopped) Some could read that as income based discrimination. I called three times today and finally left a message. Let's see if they even call back! I hope they do so I can have them remove my info from their office. Not going back. DO NOT GO TO THIS WIC OFFICE! Unless you like to be a bother to people, because I always feel like I'm such a burden going here.
