South St. Burger

Got a coupon for a BOGO free burger on my birthday, leave ample of time before the coupon is used. Their burgers are grilled fresh as well, and they smell awesome!

We are always on a hunt for a good burger place and South St burger is one spot we have not visited yet. We were going to visit the trafalgar location in Oakville but this one was closer. I have visited many restaurants recently, and I must say that we had a great dining experience inside the restaurants. Especially in covid times it was refreshing to see a clean place. First off the staff was very nice and friendly. It was during dinner time so I expected a delay but we were told 7 mins and thats exactly what it was. what a concept.. even with other orders coming in we did not wait long. I asked for some sanitizer to wipe off the table as we are used to, but I was told that he just wiped all the tables down and that I may do so if I want to but while waiting for our order the staff wiped the tables after guests....again, something i have not seen at a burger place in a while. Our order was called up and we really enjoyed the meal. I realize I have a preference of a burger and this place makes a great grilled burger.. not fried. The patty is not dry and not greasy... very flaverful and the bun although not soft.. it has a slight glaze, like a brioche bun its nice combination with the meat. My son had a cheeseburger with ketchup which he always has and I had the Nacho burger. He really enjoyed his cheeseburger and devoured it in seconds.. the nacho burger was good but it did not look like the ad on the menu... it was good though... Fries were also good.. stays soft until the end. Overall, the burgers were great and although they cost more than mcds etc.. they are good and worth the money. On my sons list of burgers its ranking #4 out of 15 he's tried in the resent past. I though it was a good 4* and with the cleanliness of the place and friendly staff its a 4.5* for sure. while we were finishing up I heard the manager talk to his young staff and let them know they had a good day today which is really nice as QSR places dont always value their staff.. so it was nice to hear. August 18, 2019, This is a fast casual burger restaurant with a small menu and high grade ingredients. I had the True North burger bacon, maple sauce, cheese with a poutine and a mocha shake for $CAD 23.11. Although the limited menu options are hamburgers and hot dogs, the toppings and customizable choices available are huge. The staff member guided me through the options and made great recommendations. They took credit card. Update August 24, 2019, I went back and this time got the Bacon BBQ burger on whole wheat, double bacon, double patties. I paired it with the vegetable poutine which had cheese sauce and small chopped peppers. It was excellent. With a bottle of water, the total came to around $CAD 22.

This place is great. Its a healthier burger joint and they sell boylans pop ! The atmosphere is always nice and clean I always see workers cleaning and doing bathroom inspections and things are always full and faced. I'm 98% sure the gentleman in the picture sorry he's tough to see, wanted to respect his privacy owns the place and he does a WONDERFUL Job running the show. A genuine and hardworking guy. Burgers are fantastic and always made fresh. Toppings are always fresh and plenty variety to choose from. Pricey but worth it. You get what you pay for. Sorry I didn't take a photo of my burger. I practically inhaled it.

Honestly quite disappointed with South St, the customer service has really dropped, flavor is mediocre for the cost and finally my daughter ordered a "cheese cake" well what she received was a frozen cake that she has to use 2 hands to eat. Oh and the cake was $10 a slice... when I asked the restaurant owner/staff she said I should microwave it.... ??? Anyways won't be coming back and if you're thinking of it I'd say a McDonald's burger with cake would probably do you better.... really quite sad.

I knew I wanted a burger in/near Toronto while here for the weekend and we couldn't have found a better place I feel, even if it is a small chain. Never have I seen a patty where it looks like the ground beef came DIRECTLY out of the grinder. Their "True North" version was perfect all the way through and the chips fries were as well, not to mention the strawberry milkshake.

Disgusting customer service, walked it in and saw the cashier cleaning the table without her mask on, then she immediately put her back mask on and slowly walk over the cashier when I was waiting for her. There were no greeting whatsoever. She has no sense of urgency and no attention to detail, when I told her about the order clearly slowly and precisely, she did not repeat what I say and instead ask me what do I like to order, sounds like she's daydreaming and didn't want to work here. When she got the entire order, she did not give my receipt nor having the courtesy to thank their customers. She did not try to upsell the new product waffle fries, and I noticed after I pay for the meal, I asked her if I can upgrade and she said no After getting the meal she did not include a straw for my drink or thank me. I stayed in my car to eat and wrote this, as I was eating and finishing up my burger, I just remember she was using her gloves to touch the front of her mask, and that is completely disgusting because the amount of bacteria and viruses that stays on the front of the mask are just unthinkable. I really hope the store manager or owner sees this as the employee does not provide a positive attitude and friendly environment for their customers. It feels like I owe her something, and she don't need this job.

Was here before the closing time, the order was punched in but was not served any food by this employee. What I was said was the grills are closed, if you don't wanna serve anyone before the closing time then why keep the Open Store sign up on the door and why is the store closed before the scheduled time? The experience was not at all good. I would now think twice before recommending this location to anyone else. Being denied service is not acceptable. You guys have to work more on Customer Satisfaction as well! Would have given zero stars if that was an option.

This place is really amazing, so many things you can dip in their chocolate dips! Ice cream Donuts even cheesecake slices , must try!!!
