Chrystal Sparks is an excellent therapist. Unfortunately, I will not be seeing her anymore after my experience with the staff here. Highly recommend Chrystal, however as a former patient of hers, I was hoping to follow her to her new company. When I called the office, they refused to put me through to her as it seems she may not take my insurance anymore and set me up with an appointment for someone who does take Anthem. I tried to leave Chrystal a voicemail but was told since I am set up with a new provider “it would be inappropriate for me to reach out to her”. I’m very excited to cancel my appointment since I was able to find care elsewhere… best of all, the new place is all virtual. For some reason, they need you to come in person for intake and I was told the staff does not wear masks. I hadn’t even gotten to my intake without feeling belittled, stifled, and as if my business is an inconvenience. Very unfortunate for good therapist to have such lousy staff being the ones to bring their business in!
Strange place. They have had the Director of Human Resources position posted for over six months. The current Chief of Staff was the former Director of HR and is looking for the absolute "perfect" candidate. It's time to move on.
I am dissatisfied with the services provided. I was referred here through the courts for group therapy. Maybe 60% of the time we actually had a group. Under 3 people it becomes an individual therapy session. I found them to be very cold and clinical. I received no help. I prefer the help I am getting now through Care Plus. They are very helpful and look forward to going there 5 times a week versus dreading going to Sound 3 days a week.
Oh wow, this shady, greedy and corrupt company is still around? I wonder if the criminals that stole and embezzled money, are still there. Are you guys still firing people for being whistleblowers? This company was in the news for months for corrupt activities. I wonder who the owners paid off to have that scandal swept under the rug.
Horrible place the aprn they had there subscribed me a medication without telling me then I had to take it and the side effects led me into a delusion.
Negative stars. Awful people. Awful service. Awful medication treatment course of action. Overall MAKES THINGS WORSE
Case management division is terrible. Very lazy. Take all kinds of medicare, and Medicaid money for little to no work.
rude, arrogant, talks down to clients...don’t think anyone gets better there...find another place, quickly!
Great to get the help you need
I am posting this on behalf of my wife. From the outside looking in from what she has told me. She has been going there for a month and was referred to here by care plus/nachaug. She was in the care plus program for mental health issues and not addiction related issues. She has never felt so disrespected and so unheard by mental health "professionals" if you can even call this company that. Her therapist would not allow me in the intake room in order to help no questions revolved around me or home physical issues that they would not want me present for. Her therapist has brushed many of her issues off and appeared to not have time for her. When she stopped talking the therapist did not attempt to help her on or try to work anything else out of her to keep the session going. She just ended it early and sound gladly took a full session's worth of money. On to the psychologist, he refused to listen to her "back story" if you will with all of the diagnosing and medication changes that has happened over the past several years. And at bare minimum he refused to look at the records or hear what care plus attempted to change and/or make better. He decided to start undoing everything they did and take his own route. He made her mental health get significantly worse than it was. This psychologist also prescribed medication without verifying any contradictions or even letting her know about it, she just found out by the pharmacy it was prescribed. Now lastly onto sound's business and the overall feel itself. This compound feels nearly like a prison. In some sense I understand because they do treat addiction here. You need to be buzzed in behind locked doors, almost everyone seems to be inconvenienced by you being there, they make you sign a "contract" that basically states you will cease seeing any other therapist and/or psychologists in order to make them your exclusive provider. They do not share notes on patients between psychologists or therapists so both parties are in the dark. They change where and when you can check in on a whim with no way of knowing without asking someone if someone is even around where to check in. It seems everyone here treats you like an addict, you must be 10 mins early to your appointment even if you are called in 10-20mins late and then to top it all off they will bill you even if you are there for 10 mins and then dismissed. Overall this place is extremely unprofessional, very untrustworthy, and borderline dangerous for anybody that needs medication management for mental issues.
