I'm so excited to have a family-owned taco place in Ladner, especially with an awesome deal like 4 for $13 on Tuesday's. The tacos were filled with awesome flavours, presentation, and super filling. The staff and family are incredibly courteous and go above and beyond! Parking: The location has lots of parking and accessible parking spots as it is in a shopping complex in Ladner.
I was really looking forward to having a Mexican restaurant nearby where I could get some good tacos, tortas and horchata. When it opened, I went there with my family, ordered a few items and dined in. First of all, the food is good. Nothing blew me away, but it tastes fresh and each dish has distinct flavours. Dining in is a little cramped and if you need to use the washroom, you need to fight through the line up to order. Value-wise, this place is very costly for the food you get. $16 burritos, $19 tortas and no kids menu makes this a place I won’t be frequenting. I hope they make it, because Ladner needs a good Mexican place, but I’ll be surprised if people dish out that kind of money on a regular basis.
Tried the chimichanga daily special as my first time at Sonora Mx and was really impressed by the flavor, serving size, freshness of the veggies and incredible texture of the chimichangas - soft in the middle, crispy at the edges, filling all the way through. Awesome meal and I can’t wait to come back!
Great Mexican Food served by friendly staff, Carla, Raoul and Elvis.....yes Elvis works here! It was my good fortune to come in on "Taco Tuesday" and I had 4 tacosChicken, Carne Asada, Carnitas and Grilled Fish for $13
The Cubano Sandwich was mouth watering. Also, it’s not every day you see fresh horchata. Will definitely be coming back for more food!
We ordered take out from Sonora. 3 ordered fish tacos and I ordered the meat burrito. I didn’t know what to expect. The burrito came as a wrap. It was filled with the rice and beans. It was huge. It was big enough to feed 2 people. Very very good. The fish tacos were nothing to write home about. They were good, not great. I found the prices a bit steep but because of covid I didn’t get out much and I now see that prices have ballooned at restaurants. It is worth for you to try and really decide for yourself. I do spend a lot of time in Mexico so I know Mexican food.
Was really looking forward to a Mexican restaurant opening in Ladner, and was not disappointed! Really nice inside, you order at the counter and food is brought to the table. Tacos were tasty, prices were fair, and the staff were really lovely. I’ll definitely be going again!
Finally! Delicious, authentic, home-style Mexican food in Ladner! Tacos have such a delicious punch of flavor. Burrito is hearty and satisfying. Can't wait to come back and try other items off the menu!
We're so happy that an authentic Mexican restaurant has finally arrived in Ladner and so far Sonora MX Taqueria hasn't failed us. We've only been three times since the opening in September but we've loved every meal we've experienced so far. The food is tasty, with a diverse menu, I think we liked their breakfasts the best though and the owners are amazingly friendly and accommodating. They even have our favourite mexican beer and pop! We'll be back.
Delicious authentic Mexican food. They are clearly still figuring out how to run things smoothly. Super friendly people. I hope this place stays in Ladner for a long time!
