Solid Grill & Bar

I am very disappointed with the service at Solid Grill & Bar. I'm giving the restaurant at least one star because the drinks were decent. When my girlfriend and I went in for their late night happy hour, we were expecting 2 for 1 drinks. When we sat down, we asked our server to clarify what the happy hour had to offer. He said "You basically buy any two drinks, each half off." We thought it was a fair deal, so we ordered cocktails off their menu. We received our order pretty fast and will admit they serve good quality cocktails. But when we got the check, the drinks were full price with no happy hour discount (2 for 1 deal). We asked our server why we didn't get the happy hour price and he responded "Well you ordered off the menu. You needed to order either a well, draft, or wine." He did not give us this information when we initially asked about the happy hour deal, nor was there any signage in the restaurant describing this deal. He was unapologetic and inconsiderate. I was fine with paying the full bill because mistakes happen, but upset that the server couldn't care less. I don't think this waiter represents the entire Solid Bar & Grill culture, but he definitely left a negative impact on our experience. My girlfriend and I won't be returning any time soon and hope this feedback helps Solid improve the overall customer experience.

Tamron and the crew here are exceptional! We came in after the kitchen closed and they still hooked us up with some apps while we drank some delicious beer. Totally next level here at Solid!

The food was excellent. They have standard "grill" type food with a little twist. I had a BLT with sweet and sour bacon and pesto. I especially loved the risotto bites. They have a nice little outdoor patio and when we went for lunch there was plenty of room.

Above par food selection and execution. They have some creative things on an otherwise common pub food menu. All of it is just nicely done. One of my favorite nachos in town. All burgers should be topped with fried egg (it's an option here). Not a very evolved tap list if you like beers. Cocktails are nicely executed. Prices are a tad high overall.
