I was so disappointed. I had been to Sol 3 years ago and loved it. Last night was a disaster. My stuffed chicken was dry, poorly presented. The ambiance is shabby, not overly clean. While looking out at the beautiful view, a table with cleaning products and cups etc was directly in front of me. That table should be back of house. I was also disappointed in the wine list, only a couple from Osoyoos, most from Oliver. Why not present local wine.? Staff was nice though, doing their best.

Service was slow at first, but polite. Views are great. Restaraunt is dated. Chicken was very dry and tasteless. Ribs were very dry, tasted old and also lacking flavour. Potatoes and veggies were good. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant or give it a second chance. Good place for a drink, but that's it.

We read the reviews and thought we would give this restaurant a try. It was conveniently located in the Holiday Inn where we were staying. When we walked into the restaurant we could smell a dirty kitchen. It smelled like garbage. We got seated around 6pm on holiday Monday by the same employee that checked us into the hotel (who also worked as hostess, bus person and bartender). There was one other couple with kids that were in the restaurant when we arrived. They ate and left. Other patrons arrived after us. Our server and the hostess/bus person/bartender were both very pleasant and our drinks were refilled. After waiting 49 minutes we left. We gave the hostess money for our drinks and explained it was just taking too long. No apologies were offered, she simply responded by saying, "Oh." The menu items looked to be higher end and were priced as such around 25 bux per entre. As we only ordered spaghetti, a burger and the special, it was a small order which should not have taken that long. I felt like I was watching an episode of Restaurant Impossible.

Can I give a zero? I almost never post reviews, but I can't in good concience allow people to spend their time or money here. Our food arrived 45 minutes after ordering in a restaurant that was half full. When the food finally arrived, the $8 kids mac and cheese was clearly half a box of KD, the chicken "breast" was a dry-as-a-bone chicken leg, the butter chicken tasted more like chef boyardee, but the worst travesty was the pan "seared" tuna that was cooked beyond recognition. All of this would be fine for a restaurant attached to your budget hotel, except that the price of this meal was more than our meal (with wine) at the Chateau Lake Louise a few days earlier. Beyond horrible.

Prices are high food quality is low. Go somewhere else.
