Owl Pub

Great view of the lake from the deck. However no heating on the deck when we were there. Chilly outside. Quite busy this Saturday night, slow service. Food is reasonably good. Stick to traditional fare (like meat). They are better executed than novel food (like seared tuna).

The food and service was good. My only complaint was the small "pints" of beer they served. The glass was so small, it didn't even look big enough to be an American Pint (16 fl oz); and it definitely was nowhere near a Canadian Pint (20 fl oz). Honestly, it looked about the size you would get from a bottle or can (usually about 12 fl oz). Oh well, I guess you're not limited to the number of "pints" you order.

The Owl Pub doesn't even earn one star! The service at dinner tonight was embarrassingly pathetic. Our Caesar salad had a long black hair in it! Gross! Six times waitresses came to us with either food or drinks asking if we ordered them and we hadn't. They can't even keep track of their tables when they take orders. It's painfully obvious that management provides absolutely no training to their staff. The entire bunch seemed lost in a fog! We will never eat in this pig sty again!

Lousy service leads me to my lowest review yet...went today for lunch outside. Was not busy and we were there around 1-1:30. One of my biggest pet peeves is ordering a starter and getting it the same time as your main -1 We had to grab our own cutlery from the service cart -2 Empty starter tray left on table while trying to move everything around while waitress walked by about 8 times not even looking at our table -3 Beers were left empty and no refill offered while waitress again walked by about 8 times -4 Wife's beer glass also had lipstick on it -5(if I could). The food was decent for the price but the lunch service resulted in no tip ($1) and no need to ever go back here. For the location the service here should be top notch, the watermark resort is not a cheap place to stay and the Owl Pub should be trying to draw guests over, but with service like that I'm sure they won't. Also the couple beside us said they had waited 45 min already for food. Skip this place and just grab PB+J sandwiches from the grocery store, you'll be better off.
