Soho Salon

I've been to Soho quite a few times now and the service is always great. From reception to the stylists and all the staff, everyone here is really welcoming and friendly. They offer coffee, tea, or water while you wait. They have a mini consultation with you before your haircut so they know what you're looking for, additionally, you get a great wash and style at the end. Worth it.

I'm really disappointed . I sat down with the stylist and explained I'd like to go shorter but I want something low maintenance. She told me she wanted to keep the length and put in layers and I decided to trust her since she's the expert. I look like I have a short bob sitting on top of a long haircut. My layers are shorter then my bangs and it looks like she randomly hacked chunks of hair. I read reviews and had people tell me the experience was great. I was never offered a beverage or shown that much hospitality. When I went to pay I had to wait 5 minutes while the receptionist was on the phone without her saying anything to me. I wanted to enjoy my experience but there is nothing positive to say. To top it all off it was my birthday and I had to go out with this horrible hair cut.

I've been going to Soho for a few years now and I appreciate the consistent quality of their services. Maryssa is an extremely talented colourist who always gives me what I ask for—while still putting her own artistic spin on it—and James possesses an intriguing balance of perfectionism and effortlessness in the way he cuts hair. I also appreciate that both of them are considerate, friendly and honest with their opinions about what hair colour and style will work best for me. Denise, the receptionist, is also very welcoming and organized. And I appreciate that other staff, such as Anthony, will say hello and inquire how I'm doing, even when not working on my hair. The overall vibe in the salon feels like a positive team atmosphere.

Amazing salon and staff! Katie did my hair today and she's super friendly, very professional and nice! Great atmosphere in the salon as well....keep it up guys!

Absolutely horrible customer service and not the way to run a business. I will obviously not be going back nor recommending this place. I had booked my first hair appointment at this salon for highlights and signed up for their text message service that reminds you of your appointments etc. The day of my appointment is here and I go to Sherway right before my appointment to pick something up, then just as I am about to head for my 6:30 pm appointment I get a text message asking me to confirm my appointment for the same day the following week. Now since I was sure this was the date as I had it in my calendar, a confirmation as well as I was bloody going on vacation that weekend I called the salon and was told that they were too busy and would it be okay if I come next week. This is unacceptable. To first of all just change my appointment without telling me and to do it 15 minutes before my actual appointment. If you cannot run a business properly the least you can do is give a call at least a few hours in advance! Be warned-they cancel and change your appointments without telling you. Luckily I was able to get in last minute at Curio inside Sherway! Thank goodness since I was in a real pinch with leaving in a few days! Also, I highly recommend Curio, they did an absolutely fantastic job!
