Recently had not a pleasure experience with that place. We ordered lamb with veggies and chicken with rice. Well, 5 tiny pieces of lamb with a lot of steamed not even grilles vegetables were pretty boring. I was waiting for more for the price I paid. Chicken was better but still you could see the amount of rice. It's a rice with little bit of meat. Also the salad was served in one large tray. They supposed we have to eat from one plate?! Prices seem too high for the portions they serve. Answer to the SOFRAM: well, that's a good recommendation - order and pay more next time. No, thanks, I'd rather to go to the new place next time. And yes, you have to ask how people would like to order their salads. Eating from one plate sometimes is not a normal service.
I like Sofram, But they used to be much better! Especially on the dine-in side, I haven’t done that in a while, the place doesn’t look as inviting as it once used to! So I do get my takeout or Order through a third party delivery app, Overall the quality didn’t drop much, but a tiny bit! But all in well, they make the best beef and lamb skewers!
The food was cooked well and seasoned well but something about it was off. I will say I would consider coming again if someone around me wanted to go. 7/10.
I had the felafel and the beef goulash. The soup wasn't piping hot like I liked it and the felafel was missing flavour. I am tough critic for both because I really generally love soups and felafel. Restaurant was clean and service was good and fast even tough it was lunch time rush hour.
Stopped by to get something quick. Got a chicken shawarma in Lafa. For $12 it was a good amount of meat, hummus and I liked the variety of things you could add to it.
Food is just alright. The prices are quite high. 25$ for a chicken schnitzel with 1 side and house salad. The side was pretty bad in my opinion. 1 kafta kebab for 20$ with extremely plain rice and house salad. The kafta tasted exactly like the burger meat from Harvey’s weirdly enough. The salad dressing was the best part of the meal by far. We got 1 piece of pita bread we had to share among 2 people. 1 pita per meal seems fair, no? It’s just very underwhelming for the price. A very average meal that was kind of bland. 1.99$ extra for Israeli salad instead of house seems like a money grab. 3$ for a can of coke is also a lot. Just a meal you eat and go, well it was food. I wouldn’t recommend here for the price or quality.
I had a lunch with my friend in there for my birthday and the food was delicious and generous in amounts,staff were so polite and helpful.highly recommended.
We've been customers at Sofram for many years, but the last takeout shawarma dinner was terrible. It didn't taste like shawarma at all, it didn't look like shawarma at all, more like leftover chicken skewers chopped into small pieces. Also the salad had spoiled vegetables.
Customer service is really bad. We ordered delivery from Richmond Hill location at 14:30. The restaurant decided to deliver from Thornhill location instead without talking to us first. They did try to call us, but didn’t leave voice message, or text message and just sent ahead and delivered from Thornhill location. We had really bad experiences with Thornhill location, definitely food poisoning with throwing up. So one can understand why we were so adamant at not accepting food from Thornhill location. Spent 30 minutes on a phone with their customer service and the owner. The owner was extremely rude, screaming at us and insisting that it is our fault. In the end we drove to the Richmond Hill location to pick up the food and the owner did not agree to compensate us for their mix up with the order. This is definitely last time we order food delivery from Sofram!
It’s very fresh food .chicken and lamb is very tasty not oily and not salty . Healthy food . It’s not easy to find healthy food now because every where they add lots of oil and salt . Bread is fresh and meat too .if you want to have healthy food , you should try this restaurant.
