Society of St Vincent de Paul Store

A bit all over the place. And they the whole place is cramped. Most of the items are more expensive than in other second hand stores. Staff have a bit of attitude issues.

Not sure where some of these other people are coming from, I've found this to be one of the most pleasant experiences I've ever had in dealing with any sort of thrift store. My wife and I live in the area and frequently have clothing, books, electronics etc. that we're no longer making good use of and there's no place we'd rather bring these gently used items. The staff are friendly, patient and always genuinely appreciative in receiving any donated items. The store is as tidy as you can possibly expect from a second-hand goods shop, especially one with limited space. Plus they often have something that catches my eye (usually an old vinyl LP or a book) and that always makes my wife super happy (!!)

It's a great place with great finds and great staff and volunteers. Funds go towards those in need.

I will allow myself to quote someone who has left an opinion about this store prior to me... I agree that this place looks entirely like a "Hoarder Heaven"! To that I will add that their prices are not comparable to other shops of their kind in this area... But that's not why it doesn't meet my standards... This is just one of several second hand shops in Port Credit and along with the second hand status it is also an organization known for helping the poor and vulnerable. With a status as such one expects more than an average joe to be available to help. Meanwhile the staff - that is one specific lady who is there almost all the time- is not at all in the right place! Not only is she brutally unwelcoming, she's also rude, uncivilized and entirely unfit for her position!! If you're interested in some worry free second hand shopping, I suggest you make your way to the other shop just a few blocks away!

This thrift store is kind of a jumbled mess, but they have interesting stuff and the prices are good.
