"Socality House is a gathering place for the community bringing together the best in coffee, retail, and community events in a location set in the heart of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Featuring coffee from Monogram Coffee and a Sundays Furniture Outpost."
Lovely, welcoming coffeehouse focused on collaborations with local visual artists, musicians, clothing designers pop up shop on 2nd floor during our visit and more. Super friendly and informative—great, well thought out spaces being used as a functional showcase for a furniture store/designer, and 90s throwback hits on the speakers Erykah, Will Smith, Tribe Called Q, etc. Didn’t love the melamine cups, and personally prefer a darker roast in my brew, but will go with an Americano next time. Will definitely continue supporting Socality House!
Wow! What a transformation to this little 17th Avenue house business. With a full range of beverages like coffee, tea, drinks, etc. you can pair that with some nosh. If you want to enjoy the outdoors without the hustle and bustle of downtown traffic, use Sociality House private back seating area. Interested in some quiet work space? Try the upstairs sitting areas that are bright and relaxing. Love their furniture? Guess what? You can actually buy these beautiful decor items for your home or office space. Imagine you could put a coffee shop inside your living room... And then imagine your living room were full of super vibey places to create, write, connect or work... And then imagine other awesome creative people came from all over that you could connect with and create friendships. That's kinda what this place is like... Plus, the coffee is A+ I myself am a matcha guy and dairy free - Love their Matcha Latte & the fact that they have soy milk plus all the other optionsdrives me nuts when places only have oat or almond! in the summer Matcha Tonic is bomb. Plus, it's connected and run by the team behind @socality so the place is full of creatives and world changers. Check it out - You won't be disappointed. I've made some incredible friendships & connections here. PARKING & LOCATION - *coffee shop is on 17th - Look for the house looking building painted white - right by best buy & structube - Lots of street parking paid but also if you're willing to walk 2-3 mins lots of free parking on the side streets!*
A very cute coffee house with a warm atmosphere, I love the books that they have there and the chill vibe. I’m not usually a coffee person, but even I will admit that their coffee is very tasty, it leaves a nice aftertaste and I’ve never encountered that with coffee from anywhere else thus far.
Such an awesome place. I went for an event in the back but ended up getting some matcha as well. The barista was so nice and thoughtful and really cared about what he was doing. Fantastic place, beautiful decor and some really nice art hung up on the walls. Would not hesitate to get a coffee or host an event here
Great coffee, I had a mocha and it was perfectly non-sweet. The antithesis of the diabetes-inducing Starbucks drink, if you know what I mean. Nice scandinavian-esque, minimalist decor inside. Calming vibes. Would recommend and they are brewing Monogram beans here too!Food: 5/5
An amazing selection of coffee, friendly staff, and super cozy atmosphere. A calgary coffee barista recommended me this place while working at another shop, so you know it's good!!!
This is my favourite place to get coffee. You can feel that this space does more than just serve really good Monogram coffee, it’s a space designed to encourage fellowship, community and conversation.
I’m the area on holiday. Really enjoyed the coffee flat white and feel of the place I ended up visiting every day I was in the area. My preferred coffee shop of the ones I tried in Calgary.
I always thought Calgary coffee shops lack warmth and the feel of a local business due to lack of personable staff. However, Jonathan, one of the prominent members of this place, made us feel at ease right from when I stood in line to order. This coffee joint is your home away from home, with easy-going vibes that feel unfussy. Also, throw in some good monogram coffee. It's a win-win.
