Sobeys - Rivergrove

My wife and I went to the store to get some eggs and wieners. They have the Compliments chicken wieners in 450g packs for only $1.99, which I think is really really cheap! I've always loved shopping for groceries at this location. The place is well-maintained and most of the staff are friendly. They can probably improve more in terms of the price of some basic goods, but there are also great deals every now and then.

Good shopping experience....well stocked clean store.....checkouts were busy but the wait wasn't too long

Pretty good selection of gluten-free items, if you need that kind of thing. Pretty good hot sauce selection. And they carry Pic-a-Pop now, if you like your sugar water nostalgically themed as I do. Not uncommon for there to be errors at the till. Staff are generally friendly but not always well-trained. Specials can be good but overall the prices aren't great.

Last time I went I bought an item onsale. I asked the cashier if she remembered to enter the discount. She didn't check. She just smugly said yup. When I got outside I checked my receipt and she hadn't applied the discount. I understand mistakes happen but if you are going to give attitude atleast be sure tou have done your job correctly. Or how about just have good customer service and take the 2 seconds to look at your screen to double check that you have done your job correctly. When I went back in to have it corrected Jennifer at Customer service made me go back out to the vehicle to get the item. She said she had to rescan it. But she could have done what any other store would have done and went and grabbed another pack from the shelf since they all have share the same barcode. I suppose she was trying to be a hero and save Sobeys the 80 cents on the chance I was lying to rip the store off of 80 cents. Only reason I went back in was out of principle since I had asked the cashier if she had applied the discount and she didn't check. But with much unnecessary hassle I got my 80cents. Hopefully Sobeys gets some common sense.

Work near here and often pop in to pick up a few things or supper or lunch. Always has what I'm looking for and most of the staff is genuinely friendly. I know my mom loves this location because it isn't huge. So she doesn't have to walk lots just to get groceries.

Their fruits, vegetables and cheese selections are good. So is their deli section.

Always good! We love the convenience and the service. The prices of groceries have increased just like the cost of transportation. It all works out I the end.

Excellent and cheap food!

It's a Sobeys. They are all very similar. This one was clean and the staff was attentive.

Staff isn't the nicest... a few good apples but not enough to change my mind about the place... Management Staff likes to be rude any chance they get.. not my favorite location to go... In my opinion the location in unicity st James has harder working Staff... and they a bit more friendly
