Sobeys - Millwoods Common

Today, picked up a cake that I ordered about a month ago for my son's birthday. We got there, and cake was amazing. They did spell his name wrong BUT they fixed it right away and even gave my son a free cookie for his birthday. Cake was a hit, as always :

I met the kindest man at Sobeys Millwoods this week and he gave me a complimentary bag to carry my groceries in as I was leaving the store with them piled up in my hands. Thank you Mark, his badge read. You reminded me of kindness the way you were formerly dressed for work and yet sweeping the store floors with a broom and how you attentively and politely carried on with customers in-front of me … Kindness is a good quality. I bought potatoes in a 5 lb bag last night, Jan 1, 2025. I opened the bag this morning, it smelled awful. There were two rotten potatoes in the bottom of the bag. I threw everything in the garbage. Then I noticed that the little clamp that holds the bag closed was dated December 16, 2024. The bag of potatoes is 2 weeks before I purchased it. Due to the extreme cost of groceries, I would have thought that best before dates would be checked & food beyond that date would be removed. You can't give out of date food to a homeless shelter or food bank, so why can you sell it in a grocery store????

The appreance of this Sobeys at Millwoods has changed. It looks more trendy than before. The external and internal changes to this place is more interesting than before. The internal changes are worth mentioning as it's easier to search and access what you want to purchase.The store is bright and welcoming . It feels like there are more products on sale . They have some very interesting deals which are worth looking into .This store is located on the corner of 23 Avenue and 50 the street. There is free parking space available for customers. They also have a Sobeys liquor shop by the side of the supermarket. The staff are helpful and friendly. The recent renovation has made an impact. It feels good to shop here now .

This place is very nice. Clean store, knowledgeable staff. Lots of parking. Would recommend it to anybody
