I always order short ribs. It tastes very good and comes with three sides. Also, I tried the holy burger, I liked it as well. It is a little pricey but I would recommend this place as a restaurant that serve unique delicious dishes in Windsor.
Tried their Peri peri Chicken and Armenian Chicken platters. The peri peri did not taste as peri peri. Each one costs 22$ but the quantity was not good according to the price. I would not say the taste was bad but may I this is my first and last visit. I wanted to rate 3* but I do not harm their business so I gave 4.
Smokies BBQ in Windsor is a hidden gem on somewhat not so busy area on Ottawa street. It was recommended to me by couple of friends to go try their food. So, I went there with my family on a Friday for dinner. Me and my daughter ordered the holy burger combo. My son ordered the rib steak burger combo and my wife ordered shorts ribs plate 2 pieces. By the way I had to call around noon to make sure they put the ribs aside. And finally a skewer of jerk chicken to try. We were told that the chicken takes about 30 minutes to be ready and the burgers and ribs should be done in about 20 minutes or so. We were excited to learn that they use charcoal grill to cook the food, but it gets really smoky in there. The burgers were slightly dry and the bun was nothing special. It tasted like a cheap off the shelf grocery store white bun. They dont serve ketchup or any other condiments with their burgers and you have to pay $1.25 for any tiny container of condiments you get, that did not make sense at all. That could be a deal breaker for some customers. I'm not a ribs guy, but my wife said they where delicious and I ended up trying a small piece and it was good. The kids rated their burgers an 8 and 9. Their customer service is amazing and when I told one of the owners my feedback, he was very open about it and said he will make it better for us next time. He offered us free drinks and was very hospitable. I would have give it 5 out 5 if it wasn't for the slightly over cooked patties and It was on us too that we did not tell them how we like it cooked. We have decided to go back soon to try their kebabs and other menu items.
Rib smokie burger is the best in the town.. Beef Ribs are phenomenal! Absolutely they deserve 5 STARS! The server guy has a great smile on his face. MUST TRY THIS!

Best BBQ in town!!! I'm definitely a regular here!! The short Ribs are huge and fall apart with a fork. I have always had a satisfying meal from here.
Came here with my Wife and must say it was an amazing experience. The small store environment really added to the authentic BBQ experience and the staff was amazing overall. Thats all before the food itself. We had ordered the Rack of Beef ribs 7 piece to share between us and we just enjoyed it thoroughly. The ribs were doused in BBQ sauce, the seasoning was immaculate and the fries as the side were extremely well done! Aksheet the waiter was just as amazing as he sought to our every need! 10/10 experience will definitely recommend to anyone!
The meats and salads are consistently to die for! Never change the salads lol please , they’re so good! The wings are grilled to perfection . My husband the professional grill artist had 0 complaints and that’s the first !
Ribs like you've only dreamed of. The juicy succulent meat of a beautiful beast who has no place on this accursed earth. Crispy fries that are a perfect compliment to the tender rib bites. Buttery delicious rice with soft garlic pearls you're going to be digging around for. Consider watching others scoop their rice. Garlic thieves walk among us. Why would you waste your time at Ribfest? The McRib is garbage food. There can be only one .... It's here... And it slides right off the bone.
Had Armenian Chicken Platter, partner had Chicken Breast Platter. First off, great portions. I have leftovers, and I'm very happy about that. Second, that eggplant is wicked. Salad is right. I don't even crave any other sides. Going to have to learn how to make that eggplant or I'm going to have to order this stuff more regularly. Third, that meat. THAT MEAT. Well marinated, so tender, oodles of flavour, and all of those flavours are awesome. Mine wasn't spicy hot at all, but was so well seasoned that I honestly didn't feel a need to add any sauce to it. Served piping hot right off the bbq. Fourth, the rice. Garlic paradise, plenty enough of it, and it's under that bomb chicken that I mentioned in point 3 so everything about it is as good as it gets. I'm going back again, I want to try those burgers, I want to see what that soup is about, and I want to try out those ribs. The folks running the place were friendly and good at their jobs, and the cooks clearly know what they're doing. What a good time.
