great for kids and families to get away, nice small waterfront beach, pool & convenience store
Never staying again! After we had paid our 3 day fee we were informed that the toilets and showers are LOCKED at 8PM UNTIL 11 AM. I find this an objectionable, cheap, inconsiderate denial of BASIC campsite amenities. The hours of closure are the exact times of day evenings and mornings when people's basic needs of toilets and washing need to be met. Cruel, in my opinion. We have camped this summer June 2022 until August 2022 from Vancouver Island to Ontario and this is the only place that locks its toilets! The entire campsite is a village of permanently parked trailers and ancient little cabins. The few transient campsites are pretty bare and offer no privacy between sites. Basically a place to park and use your own toilet. Walmart parking lots would be just as good.
Best park for dog walking and evening walk. Quiet and calm place
The manager Charity here is incredibly rude and verbally assaulted my family. She has zero compassion and threatened us. She truly an awful human being. I am absolutely appaled that this is allowed by management. They should take action as she has lost them out business and everyone I know. I would recomunever renting here as they do NOT care about people and will throw you put for zero reason and threaten to sell your property.
It was so quiet there you wouldn't even know you we're in a camp ground l'm sure am coming back again loved it there Restrooms: Could of been open earlier and later besides that it was beautiful Dog-friendliness: Love it it was awesome
i loved this place until they more or less forced us to cancel my family’s camping trip 1 week before we were supposed to go because they advised they were closing the bathrooms from 8pm-11am.
What a great family owned Campground! Front desk lady was so pleasant and sweet upon our arrival Everyone is friendly, respectful and welcoming. Wonderful! Thankyou for a pleasant stay so far!!
Very lovely place. Clean friendly staff. Well maintained park. Close to stores shops and Georgian bay. Would highly recommend it
We are recent rv’ers, we came here and have been accepted like family. The park is very well maintained. It is centrally located, so there is plenty to do in the surrounding areas if you decide to venture out. We had an issue with a neighbour rv’er, he parked in direct obstruction of my satellite. I tried to talk to him but he was less than accommodating of moving his rv back just 2 feet so not to block my satellite signal. I then called the office and they persuaded him to please move back the 2 feet. I thank the owners for keeping everything civil. I will recommend this park to anyone I see or is looking for a great experience. Thank you Smith’s Trailer Park
Not a welcoming park at all. Transient sites are literally on top of one another with no privacy at all. Park has some really bad run down sections. We had booked our sites online. Upon arrival , our site had been given to another camper. We were given one down by the pool across 2 roads. This was unacceptable as we were travelling with our daughter and family and needed to be side by side. After some discussions we were given the site we booked. The next day was not much better. Had to listen to machinery digging more transient sites across the road. Lovely! We decided to hit the beach. We parked our truck on the road near the beach access to unload kayaks, chairs etc. for our beach day. Later we returned with the truck to reload our belongings when we were approached by a very disgruntled park resident yelling we could not park there. We explained we were just loading up and we would be on our way in a couple minutes. He called the park owner and reported us. We then had a visit from the park owner who told us not to use that right of way to the beach. REALLY!! P.S. we had asked permission to do this from the men working in the park with park shirts on. Clearly no rules were given out when we booked. That morning around 3.30 a.m. we were awoken by someone banging on our trailer. NICE! Well finally it was time to leave. In order to let another camper out we pulled over on the side of the road. Oh no here he comes another disgruntled park resident yelling at us to get off his property NOW! Let's get out of here! REALLY!
