From our beginnings as a family-owned sleep shop, Slumberland Furniture has flourished to one of the Midwest's top retailers of affordable home furnishings. Everything about going in and checking out went great, until I had to pick up my stuff from the side building, upon arriving I rang the door bell and no one answered so I rang it again and still got no reply. A sign said we could walk in so my dad & I did. The man who was suppose to help us.. was sleeping on furniture, we closed the door to not wake him up and went back to slumberland to let someone know he was sleeping and since it was freezing outside we wanted to go back inside. As I was going to the door a lady working there by the name of Melissa (read her nametag) opened the door and said very rudely "Just open the door." (The side building door) Not letting us in the building to explain anything. Both my dad and I said "He's asleep, he's sleeping on furniture." She said almost yelling at us, with a very mean attitude "Go wake him up!". My dad replied with "Really?" . Not with a confused tone but angry and suprised because we were obviously shocked that this lady had no intention of taking action of the situation on which one of the employees was sleeping on the job. She then walks out and walks in and says something to him (waking him up) and jokingly says "And I said go wake him up." Laughing with the man who was sleeping and then looks at us and says "it's freezing outside", which is when I saw her name tag. The man sleeping was actually really nice and helpful getting our item in our car, but it was the ladies attitude that was very rude towards us.

Love this furniture store. We buy all our furniture here. Friendly staff. Humorous, outgoing, straight forward honest people. Only complaint I have ever had was with delivery people. Everyone I house is great!

A little spendy but very good selection. They ha e the high-end pillows and mattresses you read about. We just bought a $160 pillow to help my husband's headaches. The salesman was kind and helpful. They also had fruit snacks for my rambunctious boys - that was super helpful too. We'll go again.
