Days Inn Hutchinson

Ugh. This place was awful. Setting the construction aside, the rooms stank of smoke (even though it was non-smoking), the carpets were dirty and although we stayed for three nights, they never came to make up our room. We had to call and get clean towels dropped off. They didn't even restock coffee or take out the trash. Breakfast was fine and front desk staff were friendly - otherwise, terrible. Wouldn't stay there again.

Old place being renovated. Rooms clean and nice breakfast. Would stay there agsin.

Very odd rooms. No exterior window. Smelled moldy/musty. This hotel is 10 years past when it needed a remodel. Had multiple automated wake up calls during the night that I did not request. Multiple load noises during the night that woke me. Only thing that saved this from a 1 star was the staff was nice and me room was relatively clean considering it's age/condition.

Parking lot vacant at 9:30pm when I arrived, that should have been my first sign. I checked in and found the rooms very dated and in need of repair. The refrigerator was missing a front leg and would spill out anything on the shelf. Neither the sink nor the toilet would drain. The bath handle leaked more that the shower head provided. To get light at the desk you have to unplug something else and still you don't have a plug for your laptop or charger. The pillows are cheap filled with air and the bed cover was a thin as the sheet. Then the air conditioner quit. I called the front desk, no answer, I called again, no answer, I walked to the front desk and there were 2 people waiting. We pushed the call button and could here the handset ringing in the office, still no one came. 5 minutes later he came down the hall. I told him the problem and he right away went on to the computer and I thought he was going to turn it on. Nope!! He entered a work order, and said If I am still uncomfortable he can move me to another room I asked when maintenance was going to show up, he said tomorrow, yes even the other guests the were checking in were shocked. I asked to be moved. The new room was as dated but the air did work.

We had a very pleasant stay. The decor was charming, the rooms were clean and fresh smelling, the breakfast experience was pleasant and the staff was on top of things. Highly recommend it.
