Silent place to watch birds and enjoy nature. A must visit place if one is heading up north to Mt. Vernon area. Discover pass required for vehicle parking. Rest room available. Lock on men's restroom broken as on 04/22/2018

This area is absolutely beautiful. There is a nice, decent length walking trail along the dike. Most of the walking trail is gravel and pretty level. When you get near the end it becomes a little congested with vegetation and becomes muddy since it is tidal. Be aware of the tides! There are areas you can walk to in low tide but then is completely covered by water at high tide. Any gravel portion of the trail is always safe to walk. Also waterfowl hunters are in the area shooting during hunting seasons

Even though it's a couple hrs away, i enjoy checking out the various birds that stop by from other areas. It's easy to get to and has nice walking paths along the water.

Truly a special piece of WA. Birds and other critters are everywhere throughout the year, and the dikes are well maintained and easy to access. Great place for a walk by the sound.
