Nice park for a short hike. Beautiful views of Skagit valley! Super convenient, perfect little gem when you want to get out and enjoy nature and the outdoors without having to drive a few hours to get to Mount Baker or the North Cascades. Will be hanging out there a lot more over the summer.

I really like this quick to get to, right outside of town view point. You can drive all the way to the top on a nice wide single lane paved road but if you have the time you can hike up from the bottom, I would say it's a moderate hike. You are hiking up the side of a little mountain, keep that in mind. At the top is the main view point. It looks southwest to South. You can see south Mount Vernon, Conway, Stanwood, Camano Island, La Conner, even Whidbey Island and the Olympic Mountains. From the slightly lower view point you can see north to west. You can see Mount Baker, the Sedro-Woolley area, all of Burlington and most of Mount Vernon. You can see the San Juan Islands, Blanchard Mountain, Bayview, Fidalgo Bay and more. However when I went in the middle of April for the sunset there were no direct views of the sun, as nature would have it there are trees blocking direct line of sight to the setting sun. You still get great views and sunset pictures, but they're of the sky.

Decent beginner mountain bike trails but busy with hikers walking their dogs on the weekend. Fast riders should bring a bell (highly recommend getting a Timber bell) and be ready to stop.
