We walked over at 6 for dinner and thought the place was closed, but then saw the open light on. We knew better, we should have passed it up at that point. The place is old and tired. Needs to be updated. The staff is a bunch of kids running around acting their age. Food was terrible. Fries were tough, hard and had no taste. Cheeseburger was frozen meat product, not even close to real meat. Asked for iced tea with lemon, they are running around looking for lemons. Place is a joke.

OK - but that's about as good as it gets in Lava. Their burgers are actually not too bad, and at first their prices even seem reasonable. However, they add on $1 for this and $.50 for that and all of a sudden their $7.99 burger was over $10. I ordered a BLT and while the sandwich was OK, there were only 2 pieces of bacon on it (for $7.99) and my son ordered a bacon burger which not only had the burger but 2 pieces of bacon on it and it was $8.99. I felt a little cheated on the BLT and thought there would be more on it. Friendly staff and overall it is about as good as you get in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho.

The owners are wonderful. Very accommodating. The sandwiches were yummy! I left my purse there and didn't realize it until I returned home to Utah. I called the restaurant and the owner offered to meet me in Utah to pick it up! Now THAT'S customer service.

Our family had dinner at the Silver Grille and had a great time. The restaurant was clean and organized even while the live band was setting up. The atmosphere was enjoyable especially with the live music. But what I was most impressed with was the level of honesty and service the staff and owners showed. I accidentally left my purse and the owners drove it to where I was staying to return it to me, everything still inside. Now, that is going beyond what was necessary and I will always appreciate that kind of service!
