Today, trying this Thai restaurant for the first time. The street parking is around 2 hours at the back, plenty of time to eat. I want to order the chicken satay, but my wife saw the other table have the stuffed chicken wings, therefore she wants to try it. It is very tasty, crispy outside and juicy inside, perfect with the sweet chili sauce, highly recommend. We also ordered two lunch specials which come with two spring rolls with lettuce salad, hot and crispy too. My wife has the Pad Thai with prawns and I have the Red Curry with chicken, both are yummy, even the curry is on the spicier side, I love it so much, the portions is good for me. My wife can’t finish her, and the waitress asked if we need to pack it up, she didn’t charge us for the takeout box, that is very generous. The service of the two waitresses is very good, they are also very polite and pretty even with the mask on, their attitude of work is above average, way way better. I would highly recommend this place, even I will come back with friends for sure.
This place serves very flavourful and delicious food! The red and green curry sauce seem to be made in-house with fresh ingredients and was just amazing. The curries were made to western standards so were on the sweeter side for a medium. If you are looking for real spicy food, the owner suggested to order very hot or Thai hot. Having tried Mango sticky rice in Singapore a lot, it didn't seem to be on the par but then owner gave us a 50% discount for it and explained why it tasted the way it did. Overall, a great experience with great service. Would highly recommend to try this place.
I really love it here. Went for the first time on a Tuesday evening for a group dinner. I like the bright open decor. The food was delicious and well balanced. I think the price is good for the taste and flavour you get. It's possible that others might find the portions too small, but the taste and presentation are just too good. We got the crispy pork belly, red duck curry, and squid salted egg caramel dish. And the service was awesome. I will be coming back and bringing others!
My first visit to this restaurant was great. My second time there was even better. The server patiently helped our table of three choose items to share that would give us a nicely balanced meal. We started with the calamari and then shared pad Thai, spicy eggplant and pork belly with Chinese greens. Everything was fresh and flavourful. The Tamarind Nectar cocktail was refreshing. The restaurant was full on a Tuesday night, the servers were attentive, COVID protocols were adhered to. An overall excellent experience.
What a Delight! I finally got to stop in for lunch after reading great reviews for the last little bit! It did not disappoint! Everything was fresh and flavourful! They have a great lunch special with an awesome selection of dishes! The place was packed at lunch with a constant stream of people coming in! Do your self a favour and pop in for a meal…you will not be disappointed!
The red curry here was the highlight of the meal for sure! The seasonal mussels were nice as well, and the appetizer spring rolls were crispy and delicious. The pad Thai was a bit too sweet for our taste, but still tasted good overall. Enjoyed our experience and will come back in the future!
One of the best Thai restos I've tried so far in Vancouver with the authentic taste. My greatest impression goes to the papaya salad with salted crab, which might be a little challenging for those who are not familiar with Southeast Asia's seafood sauce, but it's a signature of Thai food. We also ordered Pad Thai and pineapple fried rice - overall the taste was great but they were a little too moist for my liking, or at least compared to what I had had before in Thai. But yeah, definitely a "will come back." The portion is large so we couldn't finish the rice although we wanted to. 4.5 out of 5. Google doesn't allow half of a star so I give them 5 as an encouragement :
Nice spot in North Burnaby. The squid salted egg caramel was my favourite. I could have eaten the whole plate myself. I'll need to come back and try the other dishes on the menu. We so had the lettuce wraps, crab fried rice and stuffed fried chicken.
This was our first visit to this eatery. We were blown away by the meals there. You can tell the chef cooks with passion. We had some of the best Thai food we've ever tasted. We will most certainly suggest this restaurant to our family and friends, and we will return. Food is excellent!!
Casual, cozy Thai place with small menu. Service is decent and reservation is highly recommended unless you come before lunch/dinner rush. I personally find the flavours a little lacking but that might be because I have traveled to Thailand many times over the years and am used to more intense, full-flavour Thai food.
