Shoppers Drug Mart

I have worked in the service industry for 40 years. I do agree with you that the service to the public has plummeted. I too shop here every Thursday . I'm the man with the empty baby stroller. The people bring a smile to my face as they help me find stuff in the store. They are knowledgable,courteous, and a joy to be around. Even the guys who stock the shelves. To the lady with four kids prove this to the owner and that will do us all some good. From my experience I believe you are hiding behind social media to get back at something petty that happened to you. The staff here are great and I believe don't deserve what you posted on social media. I love this place.

Hiring people to stalk your customers as they shop is by far the grossest business practice I have personally witnessed. Regardless of my business casual attire I was profiled as a potential thief and was followed around for 5 minutes as I shopped. At the end, I approached an employee and told him I didn’t appreciate that, at which time the guy comes and gets in my face and says he’s going to keep doing it in the future. What a pathetic store.

All my experiences with shoppers drug marts are usually excellent - this is about the post shop inside shoppers on Drake & Seymour. I was sending a package overseas which was a birthday present for my mum. I had my own pen (as there were none available to write the address at the desk). Then one of the staff came over and puts a finger through my writing and smudges it and says this pen wont work.. so im like ok can you give me a pen & a new envelope, because its now unreadable. She says use the one you have. Yet its messy and unreadable now, so I took a new envelope and wrote the address. Then I lined up to pay for the envelope and the weight etc.. and decided to pay for the 3 month option at $24. That was in August 2017, its now February 2018 and my mum still hasnt received her present. I guess it will never come, so this is for others to learn a lesson, get tracking & ask for a pen that writes well on those bubble wrap envelopes, & perhaps post it yourself after you’ve paid, because there is someone untrust worthy working at the postshop there.

If you enjoy being followed by security staff this is the place for you. Not only has it happened to me, and my neighbours, a lady wrote into our local newspaper about it as well. Very intimidating. It's a shame because there are some good deals to be found. Won't be going back though
