Shoppers Drug Mart

While trying to purchase a Super Nintendo classic on what is the release date I was told they would not sell it to me as they where holding it for a sale starting the next day. I was willing to pay the full retail on said item but still no go. After a conversation with head office finding out this was the only location on Prince Edward Island that would not sell it today. Well due to this unfortunate incident I will take my business elsewhere. I spend well over $1500 a month with this company on blood pressure meds and other assorted prescriptions not including the ones for the rest of my family.

I had been a customer here for 6+ years and had no problems at all but in recent times two employees in pharmacy have turn to treating me like a criminal or addict every time I need to pick up a prescription or change an existing one. Today they have loudly discussed private details of my prescriptions over the phone - details that I had already told them but they had acted like they needed to make a show of not taking my word. I have also witnessed these two making rude comments/making fun of seniors who were patients loud enough to be overheard past the pharmacy waiting area. I will be taking my buisness elsewhere as you should not be made to feel anxious or uncomfortable for needing to pick up your medication.

The branding of Shoppers is something else. This store looked near identical to my local store in Woodstock, Ontario. I went near close as I needed a case of water and this was the closest store to our hotel. When I was charged more then I'd expected, the young lady behind the till explained PEI's deposit system on recyclables. She did a great job as, being from Ontario, can only dream of a deposit system. It was nice to hear PEI had one and I really appreciated the time this lady took to tell me about it, all with a smile. :) Thanks!
