I’ve been a customer at this pharmacy for around 5 years, but lately the experience has become exhausting and honestly kind of humiliating. The wait times are ridiculous. I’ve been told “15 minutes” before and ended up waiting over an hour with zero updates. Meanwhile, the only time things suddenly move fast is when staff seem eager to rush me out the moment I start asking questions or trying to clarify something.nnWhat’s been especially frustrating is the attitude and scrutiny surrounding my prescriptions. I attend a RAAM clinic and receive my medication in 7-day intervals as part of my treatment plan. Instead of being treated like a long-term patient following medical guidance, I’ve increasingly been made to feel automatically suspected, judged, or treated like I’m doing something wrong simply for filling the prescriptions exactly as prescribed. There’s a difference between professionalism and making someone feel stigmatized.nnThe constant identity checking and suspicious tone after FIVE YEARS as a customer is just unnecessary at this point. Healthcare settings should not make people feel ashamed for seeking treatment.nnThe only reason this review isn’t even harsher is because a few staff members have actually been kind and respectful. Huge shoutout to Angel, who consistently treats people like human beings and clearly understands what compassion and customer service look like. She’s a real one.nnUnfortunately, the overall experience has pushed me to switch pharmacies.
This is where I pick up my meds every month and it’s never ready on the same day for something I need or will go into seizures which is unacceptable and when I ask about any codeine syrup and if they are still available OTC they treat me like a criminal. im going to be never using their pharmacy service after tonight anywhere else can take my business after this and ive been going to this place for years with my family at this point honestly we will all be going someplace else
I went to Shoppers looking for a splint and a wrist brace. I spoke with the pharmacist, Daniel, to ask if a certain brace would fit, if I could try it on, and where to find the splints. He took the brace out of the package, looked at it briefly, and told me it wouldn’t fit; without even letting me try it on. He also said they didn’t have any splints in stock, which turned out to be false, as they did have them. He then suggested I go somewhere else that carries the same braces, but that store wasn’t even open until the next day. Very disappointing experience. What’s the point of having someone there if they aren’t willing to help? I would not recommend this pharmacy if you’re looking for proper assistance or product guidance.
There’s one Black woman who usually works at checkout. I’ve visited the store over three times, and each time she seems to follow me around, even when there are other customers. She kept trailing me until security started doing the same. That behavior made me feel targeted and uncomfortable, so I only bought one item and left immediately. I won’t be returning.
My doctor’s office is closed and I’m out of a long-term blood pressure medication I’ve been taking. I asked the pharmacist if they could write me a prescription and they said they would have to charge me a $15 professional fee despite being on ODSP. They also could have advanced me a three day supply until my doctors office opened on Monday at no charge. They did not. This is the only pharmacy I’ve ever delt with that have applied a fee to this service and I was able to have this prescribed by McKnight pharmacy at no charge. Save yourself the expense! These corporate pharmacies don’t need to charge you when smaller pharmacies would not in order to make reasonable profits.
