Shoppers Drug Mart

My goodness, what an experience it was to go to this place!! It must be the best kept secret of Toronto. It is an old theater that's been converted to a retail store. You can still see an antique movie camera there. The aisles on the sides, the stairs for the different levels, the stage, the screen which shows clips of the theatre's history on a loop, the amazing artistry in the moulding, the ceiling and along the walls. It's worth a trip to the store if you're the nostalgic type, a history buff or simply a patron of Shopper's Drug Mart.

I’ve never been treated so poorly as a high paying customer at shoppers. I was followed around the whole store, and each item I asked for help with was taken from me and “put at the counter” by this suspicious lady which at first I was confused because I wanted to pay at self checkout and head to the subway, but quickly caught on that this is a tactic done to prevent theft. I bought $ 105.62 worth of various products and I’m so upset I spent any of my hard earned money here. the ladies in the beauty section are hardly helpful at all. stop judging your customers by the colour of their skin, the way they look, their age. at first I was just upset, but upon leaving and thinking to myself I’m so bothered by this behaviour I can’t just return everything and get my money back. I’ll never come to this location again.

I was given a 200$ gift card for my birthday that was purchased at your store and it was tampered with now I have lost 170$ after doing an investigation was told it was redeemed and that there was nothing they could do! Really shocked on the amount of complaints and warnings stating do not buy gift cards at shoppers drug mart!!! You know this is happening!! Why are you keeping these cards out in the open and not behind the counter!! Horrible you should be ashamed of yourselves! Will be reporting this to the media!!

The short lady with short dark hair in the beauty section will grab items out of customers hands as they are shopping and try to force you to pay at the register before you've even decided if you want to purchase. Incredibly uncomfortable experience being treated like a thief despite doing absolutely nothing wrong or even suspicious. Sales reps also try to stalk you around the aisles to awkwardly watch you as you shop.nnIf you enjoy being stalked, harassed, and then pressured into buying anything you even touch, come to this shoppers and go say hi to the short dark haired lady in the beauty aisle.

Horrible, thieving excuse for customer service. Staff refused to refund my purchase with valid receipt within 30 days of purchase - nothing had invalidated purchase in return policy - but took issue with bar code despite being a brand exclusively sold by the store - absolute thievery! This is criminal. Lucky I don’t contact the police. Buyer beware!!
