First time coming here to their pharmacy. Even to drop off prescription took a good 5-10 minutes wait before anyone could help me. There was no one in front of me, but the receptionists were busy on the computers. That's fine. Was finally told it would take 30 minutes wait. That's fine too. Went back in 40 and had to line up with many people in front only to be told it wasn't ready and it would take another 15 minutes. Was only then informed they have a text messaging system even though I gave about my phone number earlier, would enroll me now. Time constraints, I decided to get in my car to leave. 5 minutes drive away from high gate, I get the the message that it was ready. Had to redo the line up for pick up, but the worst service of all was that this was the first time I was on a new medication and wasn't asked if it was. I had to tell them it's my first time taking it and asked if pharmacist could go over it with me.nnOverall a terrible first time experience, but I suppose once the text messaging system is properly set up, it might be okay. At least they were very helpful in explaining the medication as well as the procedure of how to transfer my remaining prescription over to another pharmacy! 2/10 experience as a new customer, and they're much slower than other pharmacies that I'm used to. If you have a lot of time on your hands, location and parking is great. They probably only got to this low service level because they're extremely busy and will still be around for a long time to come.
I frequent this Shoppers Drug Mart only because of the location. The cosmetics department is terrible. It is really hit and miss who is working there. I don't know why but they are constantly pushing the Benefit brand of cosmetics. It's almost a joke to me now. When I ask for mascara....you should try Benefit. Next time I asked for eyeliner...you should try Benefit! LOL. Both times I specifically came there for a drugstore brand. I usually use Marcelle, Rimmel, etc. When I don't want the Benefit brand, they treatt me like I am foolish or cheap. Last time I foolishly bought the eyeliner thinking I'd just return it if I wanted, only to find out that I lost my points and could only get a gift card. Next time I won't ask for their advice. This store does not have a full line of the more high end products but they do have Benefit : Biotherm, Smashbox products to name a few unlike other Shoppers.nnThe post office here is terrible! The staff is nice but the line ups are huge most times I am here.nnThey do have self serve check outs if that is your thing.
I placed an order for my prescription four days ago and went to pick it up. Pharmacy assistant Iryana began looking for it for 17 minutes, then spent another 10 minutes busy in the system. When I asked her colleague how much longer it would take, she replied very rudely that they had to redo it due to a new system in place and asked me to wait. This was the only response I received after 33 minutes. Despite still being here, I have not yet received my prescription. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
The pharmacy is a mess. They always have a hard time finding the prescription, the insurance info gets sometimes mysteriously missing, it takes them an hour to fill ready medication and there is only one person serving pickup during a busy time.nThere OTC stock is always lacking.
My prescriptions always end up here because it’s the closet shoppers to my house, and I always end up getting them transferred to another shoppers because they manage to mess something up every time. At this point I am genuinely impressed with their innovativeness and ability to find new ways to screw something up every time. Zero problem solving skills at this location. If something is messed up in their system, they just refuse to give you your medication that you need to function daily. Zero sympathy and accountability. I’m writing this review to remind myself to never send my medication to this location again no matter how convenient the location is.
